FarSoCal and AZ

I will try to talk a little cash out of the wife. Later today I will call you about the sector shaft, and we can talk about a price for the recenter work.

I need to have my guns loaded and ready to fire when asking for money.....
If you know what I mean:D

I came up with an idea for that...open another savings account and throw all your extra $ in it, and maybe "allowance" from da paycheck. Works great over here. :D Give her one too for furniture, shoes or whatever she wants.

I'm off to the shop. Then the desert this afternoon. After breakfast and change clothes and talk to bro....

Great idea on paper.....But I would spend all the cash on little things. So i revert to just asking my wife "the financial wizard" for some $$.

I have no idea how I would survive without her

Hm...

I'm trying to figger out how to scrape $8k together in a hurry before someone buys my dream truck. Member how I was talking about buying a later model when we were wheeling? I found a '90 for sale A/C and all that, but with SAS detroited D60s, 38" boggers, etc. WOOT! ...but no dough, just got the wifey's runner paid off.

Heck I dunno I might do some small mods on it. It's very capable stock. Couple inches, better tires, rocker protection, and some traction aiding devices, it'd go anywhere, excluding body damage stuff.

Hey readymix...had and idea...I need someone with differential savvy to look at the rearend in the runner....it whines. Brother needs to get around to putting his TRD electric locker in hi 'coma too. Maybe we could come up with a trade of some sort? then no one has to spend $ except for parts....

I am sure it looks easy to you. It just makes me nervous.
If you look close at 66CJDean's centers, it looks like you could never get the bolts out if needed. That is the main reason I was looking at the pressed centers. That and a small weight savings/strength gain.

The TRD locker in a non TRD axle can be done. You need to clearance a small portion on the inside of the axle just to the drivers side ov the housing. It is easy.
Then do the wiring. Schematics can be found all over the internet. I could hook you up with a locker controller pretty cheap....Mil spec switches too. Electrical work is what I do for the navy. Just happens to be on Multi-Million dollar weapon systems....not Toy lockers.

As for the runner rear end, could be anything. Just need to tear into it. What is the rear axle...
3rd member drop (timken axle)??

Yah it's a third member. I've never torn into diffs myself...makes me nervous ;)

As far as the wheels...doesn't make me nervous at all. We do such things regularly. Program the flamecutter, cut out the centers, program the holes center and lug pattern into the CNC mill, indicate, tack and weld in. POOF, done.

Think I've pretty much decided to build 1 of brother's CUCVs...wifey doesn't wanna spend $8k for a wheeler. Now I just need a good 350.

Hey K10A'sBROinSLO...I have a working 350 that I pulled out of a '74 work truck. It ran good when I pulled it and have it covered in my back yard. Let me know...we also need to plan a wheeling trip, I can't wait.
