Martin is right, thats the right spacing shock mounts spring perches etc for an actual one ton truck not a 3/4 ton
Your Jimmy probably has the 203 in it right now. You still need a 205 that came from behind a turbo 400 for a doubler though. It has the bigger input.
As far as gears go, I ran 38" swamper radials ( pretty much a 37" tall tire) with 4.10s and liked it just fine. Sucked for wheeling but the doubler took care of that.
Then I ran 40s and 42s with 4.56s those were just fine too. My motor was stock but in good shape, nothing really modded to it. The doubler really comes into play though off road. Anything off road with the 203 sucked ( as it would with a 205 because they are pretty much the same gearing) but with the doubler it was night and day.
Although lemme throw a wrench in the works for ya. I don't know how hard this is gonna get wheeled. Why not consider a 700 and a 241. With the 700s first gear and the 241s 2.72 low range it is almost as low as a turbo 350 or 400 with a doubler. 3.06 first and a 2.72 reduce you to 8.32 turbo 350 gives you a 9.8. 4.10s are about the perfect all around gear for a non over drive truck running 37s IMHO. With the 700 you could gear it to 5.13s no problem that will actually give you back all that you give up with a 350 or 400 and a doubler.
Of course you can use the 241 as your front case in a doubler too

Just trying to demonstrate there are many many ways you can go.
The costs may be slightly in the favor of a turbo 400 or turbo 350 doubler setup. A 700 will require a rebuild adding some performance parts to it to make it better ( some on here will boo me for even suggesting a 700) plus you will need to find a 241 out of an 89 with the mechanical speedo and then you would have to do a slip yoke eliminator on it. Then gear the axles.
Kind of depends on how much you can do yourself where the costs come in.
