Father-daughter 76 annihilator build

Looking great, keep up the good work. Always nice to see a girl who wants a classic Chevy truck instead of a new VW Bug.

I love the looks of welds on old CC and lowered, definitely one of my definitions of cool. I totally get the .10 per hr of work when it comes to polishing. Mule Days here in Bishop this weekend and family in town so no work on jimmy:( or so I was instructed by the boss:haha:

Wow mule days. There's a party I haven't been to in a great many years. Is it still the draw it used to be?

Awsome rig and great work on it. Hope you guys enjoy the time spent together.

I like this build. Very simple, but cool to see a young girl who actually likes old chevy's. Not very common. Keep it up :waytogo:. I'm all about doing stuff cheap too, that's why I like ck5, you get good ideas from people on how to build things on your own for cheap. Can't wait to see where this goes. You decided on any paint yet? I did a flat black rattle can job for under $80. I like it, especially when you scratch it up, you just pull a can out of the back and SHIZAM....it's like it was from the factory :haha:

Mule days is still the biggest non motorized parade as far as I know so yes it still has quite a following with everything that is cowboy, mules, horses etc... Sounds as though you participated. Bishop has also been holding the state high school rodeo for last several years, we do have a nice facility and very well supported for California.

Daughter graduated!! Chaos for last week but got fishing trip in with dad also. Back to Jimmy this week not running good have to find out what went wrong now. Still need to paint.

Found spark plug wire against header, at least it was a easy fix. Daughter-friends truck runs so much better then the blazer, it's so cool-dad thinks, oh no what went wrong now:haha:

Washed and sanded truck, dismantled what was easy and taped the rest off for paint. Started painting early when only about 80 out and first coat went pretty good. All ready regretting not spending more time on prep but keep telling myself it's just a temporary fix until I can do it right. Second coat went on at about noon and truck was too hot and orange peeled on me so next two days been sanding back off starting with 600 then 1000 grit. Just kind of a two tone base coat pattern to begin with.

After reading comments from ryokin and zim on dazed and confused I had to track it down and watched it last night. Can't believe all the cool older cars and they were right about some of the one liners and the sound track was right up my normal listening zone. Brought back some good memories, thanks for a cool evening.

Subscribed. Nice looking truck and great job with the father daughter build:waytogo:.

starting pics of base paint. Learning as we go and nothing going smoothly. Slowly it starting to look like tiger stripe camo in desert colors.

Need to read all your advise in some of the other threds so don't look like dumb azz with questions first but I appreciate the offer ryokin. The best way to have gone about this would have been to start with black and then built up, the first layer of black stripes now seem way to bold and seem to shout. Hopefully when I lay od green last it will turn them down a little.
