Feeler on selling the GRINCH UPDATE post #27

i dont think my pm's are sending atleast they arent coming up in my sent pm box..... give me a call at 530-355-3498 im interested

I have not pushed selling it though. It has just been put on the back burner. I need to do something soon though.

What about some sort of "compromise" solution....

Instead of trying to rebuild the existing motor, or replace it with a warmed-up Caddy motor is there a way to just find a used Cadillac motor with good compression on all 8 cylinders, give it a good steam cleaning, rattlecan it so that it looks respectable and then swap over whatever exterior motor parts / accessories you've got that would work??

A running truck is always going to be worth more than a dead one, but I can appreciate that you don't want to sink a ton of money into it just to sell it either. It might not be the "perfect" motor for the truck, but it might be good enough to help find a buyer and move it down the road.

Hi Greg,, Always good to hear the Grand wizard of 1st gens speak. :waytogo:

That was my plan, but finding a running 70's motor is tough. I belong to a few Cad sites and found a few, but when shipping or drive time is included I'm up around $1500. That is 1/2 of what MTS sells a stock build for. I still have a few of the expensive parts for the motor that I could work with.
Like I said I haven't given it much thought.

It was a long build and after trying to do everything to make it a perfect trail/race rig to have it come apart (motor wise) was the final straw for me.

Are you interested in selling without the motor? Approximately how much would you look for without it?

Sent Dennis a deposit on the grinch. I will be bringing the Grinch bach to its former glory! I will keep you guys posted on progress when i get it and start plugging away at it.

Nice Man. Hopefully I can drive up, or you down someday so I can finally see the Grinch in person. I live In Oroville.

Glad that this is going to someone on this board. :waytogo:

That would be cool. It was to good to let it pass by... Ive been building one for the last year and dennis had most everthing done to his i was wanting to do to mine sooooo mine is hitting the road after i steal some of the stuff off it like the deavers, king shocks, prp seats, stock bumpers and the a/c stuff will eventually make its way onto it to. You got to have a/c in redding....

New project time?:whistle::popcorn:

Not for a while yet. I will just have to be a Webwheeler for a little longer. Things will get better!!!

I do see a true racer of some type in my future. But I also see another Blazer also, but strictly a pavement queen.

Always have been found of the early 80's. Like this one I built for my son.

BTW.. I still have it in storage, He is serving our country and not ready for it yet. So I still get to take it out and cruise!
