Fellow ck5ers (hand up not hand out)

I'm gonna have to post these in my build thread but I figured you guys might like to see it.
The wife told me we should change the fuel tanks on the dually this weekend (I've had em for a while just haven't had time) which was awesome!! Haven't gotten her to get her hands dirty in a while.

Nice progress. It's really cool when you can work together. :thumb:

As far as bed removal goes, do you not have a 4-pin connector between the rear lights and the chassis wiring? You should be able to unplug that and leave the lights in when removing the bed...right? :dunno:

Actually yea it does but I'm gonna be running bedless for a bit

Just wanted to let you all know my wife wanted to make sure that you all know how much your contributions means to her no matter how small, she has been very moved by the amount of responses and donations from all of you just as I have been. Even if you are not in a position help financially the advice and prayers have been very heart warming aswell!
You have all been wonderful with such generosity, I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around karma can be a real beeotch sometimes but be sure that your acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed and I pray that it comes back to you all ten fold!

How is this going? Spirits still high? Encouragement needed? Something else?

She hit the halfway point of scheduled treatments, she faired the first two rounds quite well but the third round was rather taxing. She has been struggling with eating (so energy is down), lots of heartburn and nausea.

Spirits aren't quite as high but I know she is trying to stay positive.

If there was something that could be done I would love to let you all know but I just honestly don't know what could be done....watching her struggle with this everyday is the worst thing I have ever had to do, it's been hell.

Again the support is much appreciated, I wish you all the best!

Wow, sorry to hear about all this man.

Prayers and something extra sent your way. Keep eachother close. And stay positive!

Update: the wife was admitted in the hospital today, dehydrated, white blood cell count almost nonexistent, running a fever. They are gonna keep her for probably 3 days or untill her white blood cell count comes up and they are pumping antibiotics and fluids........if feels like living a nightmare that you don't wake up from....oh yea my grandfather is in stage 3 kidney failure chances of him ever getting to go back home are slim to none, he's my last remaing grandparent...my nerves are shot,I don't mean to complain I know there is people far worse off than me

Naw man complain away. There is many a sympathetic ear on here.

Lots of times it just helps to write it down.

I have many posts in the situation room. It really does help to air it all out sometimes with no repercussions.

Prayers to you man big time

That's good to know, I was just raised to be thankful for what you do have in life and to remember things can always be worse, just seems like life has been trying to beat me and my wife down every time we turn around since we got married

Anybody know who I would talk to about a sticker idea? I had an idea about a ck5/cancer type thing with the proceeds going to a GOOD charitable organization (none of this March of dimes crap where .10¢ on every dollar goes to help). Would have to do some research but mabey American Cancer society?

@mrk5 makes stickers... :waytogo:

Haha it kind of makes me laugh, it seems like the best thing that has happened in the last year besides getting married (which was a partial trainwreck I might add, Romeo and Juliet type situation) has got to be getting my crew cab on the road and serving as the DD/hauler. For a 30 year old truck that I basically drug out of the weeds and re-lit her flame, it has been an awesome truck and has yet to let me down (although it still needs plenty to be a real nice truck).

We are all ears. And I don't know a single person who hasn't been affected by cancer at some point. We're here for ya.

^ What he said...

I'd be a lot worse off if not for CK5 members ,I wont go into detail, but lets just say they saved my a$$ from many things I've had to deal with over the past 10+ years, and I appreciate their help very much...and it sucks that I'm not yet in a position where I can return the favors, I hope to be able too someday..

Wife is getting a blood transfusion today, her numbers dropped lower since yesterday. She's not feeling very well, I just want this nightmare to end, scared to death of loosing her I honestly don't know what I would do or how I would handle it
