Fellow ck5ers (hand up not hand out)

Glad she is home. August will be 20 yrs since my wife went threw her treatments but I still remember how bad it was. She had to do a year of chemo treatments. They gave her a 25% chance that she would live and a 10% chance she would keep her leg. 20yrs later she is alive and has both her legs, she is actually training for a fitness competition right now. This is her second competition and they told her she would never be able to weight train or do most of the things she does. We chose to do an experimental treatment that was not yet ok' d by the medical profession, thanks to her doctor going above and beyond she is alive. She spent a week every month in hospital for a year, blood transfusion after blood transfusion. Since then we try to live life knowing things could change at any moment. We've had a few scares over the years but thankfully after further testing they have all been false alarms. The drug doses they gave her was the maximum you can have in a lifetime, they attack your heart muscles along with all the good and bad things in your body. Hope things go as good for you and your wife as they have for us. Are thoughts are with you.

Finally was able to send a little green help, along with all the positive juju. Glad to hear she's coming home!

I am also extremely excited to report that after talking with the man in charge the ball is officially rolling for the stickers/ apparel for a charitable cause.

My brother (a graphic designer) and I are working on some drafts to be submitted, I really hope the idea takes off well and raises good money to help thoes in need. I'm still working on researching organizations to see where the funds may be best put, I would appreciate any info or input that you may have on the subject

It is very important to me that the money goes to people that need it and not to line some millionaires pockets.

Sorry guys just been taking things as they come, we just got back Thursday from another treatment another 3days off work :frown1:.
We are still single income, balancing work and caring for my wife plus life's normal chaos I'm exhausted

No need to apologize, you are B.A. for rolling with it and taking it in stride.

You still short of funds?

Can we send some? How do we get the dollars to you? Carrier pigeon? Armored truck? Mail a cheque? Show up on your door with a wheelbarrow full of gold bars?

I'm running out of ideas. :dunno:
If you go to the first page you could donate to the gofundme link there if you would like to help out, it is much appreciated

Things are going pretty well, the wife is down to one more treatment and is feeling good! Finally after 6 months of fighting with her work for her paid leave they finally came through and she got her back pay, so that has lifted an eminence weight off my shoulders.
But otherwise we have just been keeping our noses to the grind stone

I'm not sure how i missed this, I wasn't sure if you were still in need, i sent you a little something a few moments ago.

We went thru the chemo treatments and everything that goes with it with my mother in law, it was super rough. Hopefully everything is going well for you too, prayers sent. hang in there bud..
