Fender Cutting 44's

if its his own, why has he called me at least once a week for the last YEAR with "what should i do". frankly, i dont care. light the damn thing on fire. i'm just tired of hearing about it constantly. its been "almost done" for at least 8 months. it was "almost done" for mudblast, and that was what? early last summer? and as for "all the work", the chassis on the trailer is exactly as it was, the 465/205 that are also sitting on the trailer are exactly as they are pictured, save for the twin stick, and remember the motor that his "friend's dad" made a big stink about? you guessed it, he didnt build it either. so he's put a bought motor in it, installed the trans and case, and bolted a '60 and a set of 44s on it. no real thought to that. when he bought the truck, the hard part was mostly done.

i do have sort of an attachment to the truck. when i bought it originally as a 1/2 ton 2wd, my grandfather was with me. that was the last place he was able to go with me before the cancer really set in. i threw that all away when i cut it up to build this monstrosity. i'm over that. i just want you to get the god damned thing running, and stop ****ing bugging me about it. as i said before, you bought a project truck, its your baby now, NOT MINE.

mind you guys, the guy who says he "built" this truck, not even a year and a half ago couldnt figure out how to install a set of cab bushings under a K20 (which the 40s and 1 tons that were originally under this truck went to). he installed both rubber sections on top of the frame, and couldnt figure out why the holes in the frame were so much bigger than the bolt heads.

this kid just wants to fit in. he sees other people do stuff, and wants to do it himself, rather than being smart, and building something he can handle, and gradually upgrading. 75-K5 now owns his most trail worthy rig that he has owned. an 85(?) K5, 305/700R4/3.08s on 33" Mall Terrains. this is a VERY big step for him, and in many opinions, not just my own, a very stupid move.

BTW, the Silverado in his sig... its Daddy's... he's borrowing it until he can afford a DD. yet, he just shelled out $700 for tires. way to be a responsible adult Fil... :surepal::screwy:

what a piece of work you are mr web wheeler stop being jealous and grow up
and what buisiness is it of yours how much i spend on anything on the truck not like you are paying for it and , also since i am so dumb why have you called me asking questions about a hydro throwout bearing etc or called to tell me you were getting this that and the next car for 2 months , also if i am so dumb how was i to realize , and diagnose some stuff within my trans why it was siezed up when i first put it in ?

jealous? hardly. just get the god damned thing together already.

Mr Web Wheeler... cute, from a guy whose truck hasnt even left the garage under its own power yet. ALL of my **** runs. :deal:

yes, i called you 2 weeks ago on the clutch fork question. i was 40 miles from home (so no access to pics or diagrams), in a barn, and the trans was already in the truck, and i couldnt get a good angle on the bellhousing to see if it was lining up. that was the ONE time in the 2+ years that i have known you that i called you for advice.

this is your work and the hard part? i'm sorry but i don't se a sh*t ton of fab, all i see is a pile of a truck that needs ALOT of work. this is set up for a stock type leaf set up right? so where is all your hard work at?

lets see.... locating a solid, straight frame, swapping the cab onto said frame, completely dismantling the frame, and replacing all of the old loose rivets with 3/8" bolts. nearly 300 of them if i remember correctly. then i swapped out the AC setup for a heater only setup, even has the proper heater only wiring in it now. BTW, swapping a cab by yourself onto a frame with 6" of lift with only a floor jack for lifting purposes is a bitch. i even aquired the proper length driveshafts for it.

not real sure you realize this, but that's a rolling chassis. any idiot can drop a drivetrain in, obviously, Fil has proven that point.

o...well....if you did all that.....na you didn't do any thing that no one else hasn't done so i hope that you didn't hurt yourself trying to pat your own back...... but wow a chevy frame has like 300 rivets. did you hit your head on something hard?

300 rivets:haha: Theres no where near that, me and a friend with grinders had a whole frame apart in under a hour thats not hard at all.

Swaping a cab is not that bad, try doing a Blazer body by your self with a floor jack then tell me a pickup cab it hard

p.s. i made my swampers right in the back yard in my shorts in the winter in 3' of snow.hahahahahahaha

its been a year and almost 2 years since i did it. am i expected to remember the exact count? i will tell you this, reassembling took nearly a whole weekend. your hands get VERY sore putting in that many bolts and nuts. my hands were worthless for nearly a week afterwards. i've got you beat on teardown, a good air hammer will knock one apart in about a half an hour. i completely stripped a michigan (read: RUST BUCKET) K30 by myself in 2 days working 5 hours or less a day.

so yeah a really good ck5r says this

all i want is my own identity , jeremy if you dont like me than dont reply in my threads , you used to be cool now you act like a prick all i ask is that you stay out of anythreads i write and i will do the same for you is that agreeable i dont mind if i never talk to you again and 2 times a week for a year is an exageration on the phone calls

There, that's better..........

I strongly suggest that everyone lets this thread die off before it garners too much attention. Get my drift?

Thanks for understanding, lads.

so yea i'll giv ya a hand on those frenders when i get bak and we'll get that thing dovetailed after its runin and ready to tear sum $#!* up at mudblast
