I paid $3200 for mine... 99K on it when I bought it, and I daily drive it(put 7K on it now). Everything about mine except for the paint is nice though.. interior is perfect, everything works, etc. Mine also had a new crate trany put in at 53K, the dealer did it at no cost to the original owner, no idea why since it was out of warranty.

I'd probably pay $2500-$3000 for that one... 4L80E is supposed to be a very robust transmission. Pull the dip stick and check the fluid, make sure it's clean and not burnt.

The quad headlights were technically an option if I understand it right, but most trucks seem to have them. I saw a 90 3/4 ton burb with single headlights and an SM465 in it(RPO codes confirmed, surprised me). Looks like that particular truck is pretty bare bones(especially not having power windows, which IMHO isn't a bad thing). Looks like it has a t-case skid plate.. that's good, the 241 hangs WAY DOWN in the dirt :eek1:

I'd offer $2500 for it and use the interior as the reason.... if he won't budge on $3000 I'd probably do it. I love these trucks, doesn't get any better in my honest opinion. I kind of wish I had held out for a diesel, but at the same time mine is so nice it'd be hard to say if I could find a one that nice with a 6.2 in it...

Have to agree with above. It may depend on area, but buddy just paid $3500 (IIRC) for a '90 or '91 conversion, in *excellent* shape all around. The one you show IMO is worth less. Looks like a fairly base model.

its a very base model. for me its fine. i would rather have that. its clean thats what i care about. get ride of the few dents. put the 90 clip, 6.2 turbo and the 1 tons on and i have a the suburban i have wanted for a long time. thanks what is IIRC?

I would just have to say thats a lil exesive. but if thats what you can find and your willing to pay that much then go pick it up!

What's with all the black paint?

The quad headlights, IIRC, were offered on everything but base models. That or rigs without A/C, does yours have A/C? looks like it.

I'd offer $2400 for it and meet somewhere in the middle, $3000 is a little high, especially as SUV's are becoming less desirable everyday...

IIRC is "if I recall correctly". By the way, you're not really gonna pay that much just to pull out the FI engine are you? Carbureted subs are CHEAP and would probably be easier for your swap anyway. Less wiring to tear out, etc. I'd offer to buy the engine and computer, but you're do darned far away.:doah:

i want it for the no rust and the 4l80e. i like the fact its stripped down like my 88 air force buban. 350 has a new home when it gets pulled. works out

Looks fairly clean but I'd haven't to agree with the previous posts. I'd offer him alot less than that and see where he goes with it. IMO i think 3G is a little too high. I bought my 89K5 4 years ago for 4,000 and it was almost mint with only 80,000 original and i owner

One more bargaining point is that with gas prices climbing the way they are, it's almost impossible to sell a 'burb to anybody but us crazy focks.:D

I would be asking about the black spray paint on everything. I'm sure the brake master cylinder was rusted over and he painted it. How many other parts are like that. For sure look for "new" paint on the frame and such.

I paid 3200 for this 91 which had zero rust.

Goodluck.
