I did that on the truck. Think I used a 1.25” hole saw. Even with the grommets it isn’t the end result that I’m looking for. I’ll probably do the truck over at some point
You can take the connector apart, but I had to stop because the last step I did not want to risk damaging it. The first few steps were a price of cake. You will likely void the warranty taking the connector apart though.
You slide the top off by renewing the little tabs.
Then remove the pivoting latch.
Then you can slide out the retainer shown in green.
I stopped there too not risk any damage since I didn't need to do it. There are little gray tabs you can release...
Its pretty simple, but also easy to mess it up and fry your ECU.
I did get more of the flexible grommets in stock. This is the one in my car from 6 years ago already, but the lighting is funny since it was the camera flash in the dark. You can still see how flexible it is...sorry it's so dirty, I don't own show cars, I drive them and race them.
