First Gen, all hardware no software

So I bought this '70 K5 and fell in the rabbit hole ever since. It was tired, a victim of someone's "perfume on a pig" restoration. Original 350/350.Paint is nice.
So in order to fit the traction bar on the 12 bolt with the shock in stock location I had to remove the mount, cut it in half and incorporate it with the lower bolt. I also welded the axle tubes to the center section

Pretty cool idea, or is it hot idea?
It worked out really well and they tuck up nicely but of course the torsion boxes would have to be removed. Mine were already nonexistent and I plan on caging the body and poly mounting to the frame this winter. I hate the design of the stock boxes anyway for their mud collecting I have a crazy idea I may try as well to make a tube version of them and sandwich the body between lower and upper cage plates. We'll see... @Greg72

might want to stick some of that heat barrier on the HVAC box too.

Yea there's a bit more room between the tubes and box but it's not a bad idea! I'm just wondering how well this stuff is going to adhere to both the fire wall and heater box.

Finally some cosmetic parts. I think these will look better than the camaro "super sport" badges that were in place. Also a lokar cable/column shift since the headers are in the way now

So I thought while I'm on break at work waiting on getting out in the shop tomorrow to reseal my tcase adapter and install my Detroit locker/axles I'd share some photos of the water pump I had to concoct to retain my heater.
