Some parts on order, while I have the 12 bolt out I’m gonna do the disc swap and hard line it after I fab my own truss. Now I know this is a source of many heated debates but after weighing my options against many other real world experiences of others I’m sticking with the 12 bolt. It’s already got strange engineering axles and eventually I’ll pull the loc-rite and put a Detroit in it.
It’s arguably almost as strong as a 9” and pound for pound it’s just not worth going with a sf 14. I have an aam 14bolt and a 14bolt corp that I can swap in if this doesn’t work out. I really don’t want the unsprung weight or loss of scrub height since I’m running 35” generals
I’ll also be locating the four tube bypasses to the leaf plates so I can swap an axle in that much easier. This however may cause some “packaging” issues as the 12 bolt is really narrow and I’m already running 1.5” spacers against my will. Oh well the wheel tubs are coming out and possibly most of the floor. Because race truck
