First Gen, all hardware no software

So I bought this '70 K5 and fell in the rabbit hole ever since. It was tired, a victim of someone's "perfume on a pig" restoration. Original 350/350.Paint is nice.

Is the master cylinder level or does it have slight tilt from front down to towards fire wall ? If it does there can be air trapped in front of the front piston. Removing and bench bleeding will solve this. How many caliper bleed screws, does ea caliper have ?
o it does tilt rearward. It also has ports on both sides of the piston that are capped/plugged and I suspect a small amount of air can be trapped there as well I’ll have to pull it and bench it again Each caliper has upper and lower bleed screws. It’s Al’s been recommended that I tap the calipers to shake loose any trapped air

yes tapping with no mar mallet will help for sure. Do calipers have out board bleed screws?

I haven't ever messed with them but if I did I would alternate starting with out board then inboard, out board, so on till no more bubbles. Clear hose it your friend.

Did some tinkerin. Adjusted the brake push rod after another bench bless with the prop valve installed. It feels better.

Fuel guage is sticking I tapped the sender and it came back so I guess the cylindrical style sender may be a problem.

Ran the power wire for the intercom back to the battery direct as there was a bunch of static.

Also wired the cigarette lighter back up.

Not a bad day during a thunderstorm.

Of course this was after I kicked two other trucks around the yard so I can work on them.

Adjusted the carb floats after changing to a 4.5 power valve. It’s a little more snappy but it’s still fat. Like me. Changed the oil and filter bc it’s been a year and I had amsoil dominator and a wix ready. Quick detail and a tighten of the p/s pump and put some miles in.
I have no clue how many miles as I still haven’t gotten around to programming the accel speedometer. In time.
For now I need to adjust the 4 tube bypass shocks up front. Evidently the ultra4 settings are a little stout for daily driving and potholes are unbearable.
