first pics of my truck on here

If NO one else wants to say something I will.......HELL of A K5. NICE!!! I like the cage ,seat set up, what is the shackle you have attached to the front of the front springs? Looks like a revolver kind of. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Yeah,How does it work? Is it safe up front like that?
Cool Blazer /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Looks like you bilt it to use.

Yes, that's a revolver shackle on the front. I have 52 inch BDS springs. the rear of the spring is now a fixed mount, and the revolver is 3 1/2 inches forward. It extended my wheelbase and so far it is working very well. Had to do crossover to run this configuration. Rides nice and goes straight down the road. I also have some straps that I put on to close them for longer highway trips. Kindof still experimental. Haven't had that much time on the trail with them. If I find I don't like them, I'll just switch back. Also had to go to a 12 inch slip on my front driveshaft for the extra travel.

Awesome /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Good job, functional and looks awesome! Did you get that bumper from Echobit?

No, didn't buy the bumper. I built it along with the rockslides and the rollcage. Just finished a nice rear bumper. Will get some pics of it up soon, and plan to do some heavy duty armor down the sides.

That is a fine looking truck! Makes me want a full top off! Great work on the fabrication too, very pro! I just mounted my shocks inbound like you have , what position do you run your rancho 9000's at, softer of stiffer?

Soft.. heheh, I run the Ford 57" springs where soft is an understatement. I've always shy'd away from the Rancho 9000's because they were generally too stiff and most people ran them at the softest setting all the time, but now, with my shocks angled forward, I'm in need of something much stiffer than usual. Thanks for the info, I might give them a run and see how they work, who knows, I may actually make use of the stiffer settings! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

WOW! That thing looks sweet!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

What kind of seats are those? Beards? How do they feel? Do you drive it in a regular basis? I've heard those seats are too stiff on a daily driver. I would like to swap some new seats in the Jimmy, and a pair of seats like yours or like the ORD Jimmy would be great /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
