FiTech upgrade

Installed Fitech a few weeks ago with in line electric pump, can’t handle the noise of the pump so just purchased fuel command center will install soon. Hope I did the right thing, I’m all about being reliable, I use this off road and can’t be stranded 20 miles from nowhere. Also still having idle issues, cold start and low throttle sputter with Fitech. Will keep all posted with results.

I think the absolute most reliable setup is an in tank pump.
I know a handful of us are running a tank and sending unit out of a 88 blazer with great success.
Join the fitech owners groups on Facebook and you will see only like 1 in 100 like the fcc

for reliability the setup I run and many others is the Blazer baffled tank & sending unit with the Delco EP381 pump. If you're running AN lines there are a couple fittings that adapt the metric sending unit to 6AN. I can dig up the part numbers if you need them.

I copied a lot from what @skunked did.
I used those same fittings and went to a barbed fitting and just ran rubber fuel injection hose from the pump to the fitech and used the old feed line as my return. I used a slightly bigger fuel pump because merica but the ep381 works.

I also recommend what everyone else above is chiming in on. The reliability and ease of install for your year vehicle just makes it a must-do.

Having said that, an inline pump doesn't need to be loud. I have been running a inline Walbro GSL392 (also referred to a 255 because of the liters per hour, lph) for about 4 years now. It has never been loud and has served me well on the trail and on the road. And by not loud, I mean I can barely hear it before I turn the vehicle on, and there is no way I can hear it if the engine is running.

Even with how great it has been for me over the 4yr/15k miles I've put on it, I would still go the aforementioned route even on my 1st gen blazer in the future. It will just require some work to make it happen since I have to move a cross member and deal with my hidden hitch.

I have this setup as well.
It’s sitting on the floor waiting to be finished but that’s the way to go. Plus you’ll be probably be cheaper than the fcc all finished

I use an airtex E2000 with FI quick disconnects and efi hose(100psi) and efi clamps. Through the factory hardline. I can’t even hear the pump running. When I clamped mine to the frame mount the pumps come with a rubber insulator that goes between the steel and the pump body.. super quiet, $80 and easy to swap out at any autozone..

Thank You! Probably saved me a bunch of hassle, returning FCC -sticking with inline pump till I can get these parts together.

Thanks everyone! Returning FCC and going in tank set up!

possible try and re-mount it with a good rubber isolation mount clamp setup . helps from vibration transfer .

for cheep rubber isolation pads i use old tire sidewall cut out with fresh sharp box cutter blade . 3-4 layers of rubber and fabric . then cut to shape wanted . drill hole and sandwich it all and bolt down .

Thanks again for the info! I don’t see a baffled tank available on summit any ideas where to get or part number?

Tank and sending units are available cheaper on rock auto. Look at 89 k5 for the baffled version.

Make sure the sending unit and straps are for the correct tank size (25 or 31 gallon).

Ready to order! Platinum pro tank FTK010079 -31 gallon tank

Would appreciate your blessing on this @skunked as I have already spent money unwisely! This will work for 383 with 450 Horsepower Fitech Go EFI 600 Hp?
Thanks!

What pump did you use? I’m running a 383 with 450 Horsepower so want to make sure I got enough pump power. Thanks

so I could get an 87 saddle tank and get one of these for my 78... use those adapters to then use regular fuel line to my selector valve?
p/n's please...

Is there an in tank pump that can be used with a carb or will a regulator be required? if required then id go ACDelco EP381...
