Flat Towing & Death Wobble

good job nice to hear best thing i have done so far people always stare when they see me towing mine..
are you pulling the drivline's or just putting it the t case in nuteral, thats what i do but i have read it burns them out i have not had a problem one and have towed it a couple thousand miles

This last test drive I put the tranny in park and the 205 in nuetral. I was concerned about that bearing too. Just gotta remember to put the 205 back in gear before I unhitch it- man, that would suck tro see the truck roll away. Do you use the magnetic tow lights? I bought the $20 set from Harbor Frieght and they are wired wrong so I gotta rewire them. Funny thing is the FIRST set I got had the wires cut into. Guess someone else realized they were wacked, tried rewiring them and ended up just returning them.

Oh, is your tow bar fairly level when it's all hooked up? I got mine pretty level with an adjustable ball mount and a 1" raised ball. If I get larger tires it will have a slight lean down toward the hitch.

mine has a slight lean down, I also tow with some 315 75 16 not the bigger tires 39.5 iroks and now i got 42 iroks ,towed it 2 times on the 39.5 it was fine just more drag to pull.
i had dedicated tow truck lights i had them from my repo truck and yes they are magneteic, should be sdame as harbor just a better quality and they use a round 4 pin not a 4 flat, i converted mine to a more common 4 flat. i know they now make some trick wireless ones pricey though.
there is a plug and transmitter in one that plugs into the truck and then just place the ligths where ever.
i also use tow truck tie down chains for my safety chans 2 of them they have hopoks on both sides, i figured they might also come in handy on the trail one day. they are about 4 to 5 feet long a piece.

I gotta friend that'll give me a set of 16" factory wheels and tires. Tires ain't the best but I can prolly find some used ones at a decent price. I plan on using them as tow tires/wheels once I get some decent tires that I'm concerned about. These tires here are the crappy 36" hummer tires. Hard as sh!t so won't wear out. I hate being 1 ton and having 36" tires.:o

i had a friend give me a set of bfg 315 75 16 and i got some stock steel wheels also for free so only had to pay for the mounting and balance, it is a hassle to swap but i usually end up with help and the big tires fit inside the bur with the seats folded so it all works out good.
i really like the small tires better and recomend getting some you wont regret it.
