Re: For those with TTC videos 01\'
Here's a not-so-glowing review that a freind emailed me. It came from a TLC mailing list.
I didn't write it, I'm just passing it along....
I just got my TTC videos this weekend. I forced myself to sit through
all of Part I thinking something good must be coming up. THIS VIDEO
TOTALLY SUCKED!!! I can't think of any other 4x4 related purchase that
caused so much disappointment. I have enjoyed the
action/carnage/screaming big-blocks of the past TTC videos, though the
quality keeps going down. This year, Part I had about 5 minutes of
action in the 60 minute video. I kid you not, it showed about 5 of the
trucks on the frame twister, that was all. That was about half way thru
the tape. The rest of the pitiful tape was interviews with the
contestants by a clueless, large-breasted, blonde host. This video was
bad enough that I am actually going to throw it away.
Part II is a little better. It is at least covering the various
events. Unfortunately, they left the entire competition to be covered
in the second tape, so you get a little of all of them. There is some
good footage in the video. Nothing great, but some good. However, the
production of this one really sucks. The audio is terrible, they cut
off the host mid-sentence at least once, and they allude to exciting
moments that they fail to show on the tape.
Well, that's my critic's review of video tapes for 2002. I don't think
I can bring myself to by the TTC tapes again, these were too painful.
