Fourwheeler cover truck

did you see that bad ass blazer in petersons 4wheel-off road,page 86 i think.nice truck. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

every issue of FourWheeler i've ever seen has had some sort of mall rat on the cover. sure occasionally you'll get a good one inside, but very rarely. 4Wheel on the other hand isnt afraid to show you a truck that may have some imperfections in the body, or the interior, but is 100% functional.

oh for pete's sake didn't we just have this same disscussion last month /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

other that that I will remain silent and think about what to do about my broken blazer /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

i'm with you RIF,not everything needs to be hard core.my old truck was real fun in the mud. i'd come home with at least 2 to 3in. of mud covering the whole thing, saplings hanging under it,etc.i would have a hard-on all the way to work just looking at peoples expresions. that day i would wash all the mud off and then wax it when i got home, because i loved the way people wished they had my truck looking that sweet. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Thats what having a truck is all about, offroading, work, towing, and having something that is nice. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif [ QUOTE ]
...i liek a truck that is ncie looking and biult beefy, and is used for what it was biult for..but i would never go bashing a truck to hell like ive seen done, when i wheel with my own truck, even though its got plenty of rust and dents on it i still try to keep it as "nice" as i can..trucks are a beutiful thing..so lets try to keepem that way!!

/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I think it is purely immature to go out and diliberatly destroy something and I agree..trucks are a beautifull thing. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

wow, this thread went crazy and stuff!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

1) rjhghfgd, its ok that we like different stuff. you dug the truck and thats ok, I dug most of it but not EVERY single part on it, and thats ok too. When people state these kinds of opinions, they are NOT a personal attack on anyone... just a statement of preference. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

2) couldnt those "offroad lights" be mounted on top of the bumper and the rig be just as "nice"?

3) i dont mind show trucks or mall cruisers, people can build whatever they want, I just dont want em in my offroading magazine. Isn't sport truckin' (or whatever its called) enough? I pay fourwheeler $ to gimme coverage of offroad stuff... if they would rather do on-road stuff, thats fine but change the title of the mag or something, not sposed to be in 4 wheel drive on dry mall parking lot asphault anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

4) i think what makes me sad is that that rig has REAL potential to be full on bad a$$. 502 = /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif, 1-ton = /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif, np205 = /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. Other stuff is not so *cool*... like the rear axle has ubolts/shock mounts etc hanging down like land anchors, those lights, that front diffguard, the front fenders dont look like they will clear those boggers... or if they do there is no flex up front, ricer taillights etc.

In any case... let the games begin. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

why simply beat a dead hore when you can stab it, shoot it, slit its neck wide open, [darn] it in the ear, burn its carcus, piss on its ashes and then damn it to hell.

meh, my favorite part of that rig was the stupid "offroad lights" hanging down from his front bumper. I guess approach angle isnt a big deal when 6" deep mud and the mall parking lot is all the terrain it ever sees. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

[/ QUOTE ] Jekdvivd,I see a definant difference in your tone between your first post and your last. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I don't care if you like the truck or not... I don't expect you to like everything on the truck because first off I don't myself. I just don't want to hear you badmouthing it with "mall cruiser" this and "poser" that, that isn't necasserry anyway. Didn't your mommy ever teach you that "if you don't have anything nice to say...don't say anything at all"? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif But seriously I don't care if you say what you DON'T like about something just as I did but just do it in a more appropriate mature manner like you did in your last post. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

[/ QUOTE ] Isn't truckin' full of lowered cars and extreme air bagged show trucks? Not my cup of tea. I usually don't mind the trucks that are on the cover especially when they are more practical ones like this month but it does get on my nerves when ANOTHER super duty is on the cover. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif The reason why "trail" trucks usually don't make the cover is because they wan't something with more looks appeal to catch peoples eye. They usually have enough offroad articles and events for my taste. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

yes, and they all look VERY nice!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif nice rims, nice paint, nice to pick up chix in etc. I mean really, how are you gonna pick up a 5' 90lb chick in a tight miniskirt in a big old truck? might as well run a NICE lowrider truck with big rims and bling paint. Besides, havent you read lowrider? look at the chicks you can get with one of them!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

other than getting groceries what is that thing used for? Some kinda staged event like a little mud pull or something maybe, but no real world mud, trails, or rocks etc... aka offroad.

ok kids, what CATCHES YOUR EYE more when you see it cruise by you on the local cruising strip... the fourwheeler cover truck from this month or.......

/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif seriously, saying that the cover truck "catches your eye" compared to some really hardcore stuff is just silly. I prolly wouldnt even notice the cover truck if I saw it in person, but if the sniper cruised by I'd be like "holy $hit!!!!!!!!!" /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

DISCLAIMER -- I haven't seen the truck yet, but...

In many instances the lights are often mounted below the bumper on tall trucks to satisfy headlight height laws. In Texas, for example, we do not have a lift law. But we do have a headlight height law. On 42s with my limited lift, I am very close to it. If I were to run an extreme lift or taller tires, I might have to do such a mod for the purpose of remaining street legal.

So... haven't seen the rig, but there are times where you CANNOT mount lights above the bumper.

SECOND DISCLAIMER -- not a personal attack or a critique, simply a response the question that was asked per the quote!

agreed, my rruck used to get "wow, thats a pretty truck" now its like "holy crap, where do you take that thing?"

plus I get the thumbs up, the wave, the nod, and the smile ect..I love it /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif noh and the /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif and the /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif and the /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif from newer yuppies

now, all of you have to admit most 4x4's are cool over all.but the one that kill's me the most is the 1984 ford ranger,2 wheel drive with the three tube light bar and 6 K.C. daylighters. WITH the it takes bucks to play with trucks, bumper sticker. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

I love HardCore Rigs that look Mean and beast like. Heres a good example like when i see a big showy truck ill say its a sweet looking ride good for picking up chicks But when i see a Big Beat up truck that you know hits the trails i say its badass. I like all types of trucks from slamed 2wds to hardcore built to drive up a mountain. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

[/ QUOTE ]He is a member of the Indiana Truck pulling Association. Do you think they just f$%k around and sit in a circle near their trucks and sing coombia? /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I'm sure his truck could drag your ass around if the 2 of you pulled back to back. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif He uses it everyday as transportation and pulls a 25ft cattle trailer all the time, that is far more impressive to me than beating it and climbing rocks.

[/ QUOTE ] I have never seen that thing or anything like it cruising down my local main street. Most people that aren't hardcore 4x4 enthusiasts and people that are just semi interested, have no idea what that offroad only truck is besides a funny looking 4wheeler to them. In person it is different than whats on a cover of a mag. in a grocery store rack. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I havent seen the truck either.I like mostly whats underneath a truck, nothing shiny or "blingy" really, just good, superstrong, practical running gear that can be applied anywhere. My thing is with custom axles.Im not an "expert" yet,but i dont like tons of chrome underneath a truck,or a bunch of shocks going everywhere (serving no purpose)for no reason exept for looks.Just a clean, practically lifted truck with mabey a semi-custom lift, where anything and everything has a purpose.Im a little new at this,im not a trail wizard,or a hill climbing rock god, /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifso dont laugh.Just my 2 cents.....YOURS TRULY HI PINION /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
