Frankenliner build thread. Up for sale.

Went real smooth. My brother and I have done stuff like this before. No big deal. From unloading the forklifts to the camper sitting on the truck was 18 minutes.

Storage compoartments under the open edges would be useful. It looks good sitting on the truck.

Extra holding tanks. Firewood storage. But I need to water proof everything under the camper. The bottom is normally protected by the truck bed. Insulation would be nice also.

Looks very cool

My buddy has actually been looking at slide-ins lately, and there seems to be huge variations of what sellers claim similar units to weigh. What length is yours, does it have a bathroom and what does it weigh?

It's a 97 lance Squire light. 8.5' long. Has a bath with shower. It's called a wet bath. You stand almost over the crapper to shower. But after a day in the desert, who cares? The light version does not have an oven or microwave. Manufacturer claims 2100 lbs empty. The semi doesn't care.

Thanks.

Didn't think the semi would even notice that :D, very cool setup :waytogo:

Is this what your interior looks like?

Cut more not needed metal off. Got the right side tie downs done. It started snowing. Weather said clear and sunny.

Bought a tool box for the right side under the camper.

No big deal. Set the cruise control at 65mph and just pointed it. One long steep grade it dropped to 60mph. Only because I could not get into the left lane to go around a car. The semi's passed me on flat ground. I smoked them up the hills.
