Frankenliner build thread. Up for sale.

Cut the floor of the cab to fit the new shifter location. Drove it 10 miles after adjusting the clutch 5 times. Cut 2 more inches out of the fubarred shift linkage. Seems to be where it needs to be now. Found an air leak on a splice fitting that I did not mess with. Quick connect are no bueno on my vehicles. Will replace with a compression fitting.

Shifted great. No more grindy bang bang and all of the gears are there. Just need to bend the shifter forward with sme heat and make a new boot.

Transmission is officially done. Made a plate for the shift boot to move it back. Had 1/8" steel laying in the shop, so I just used it. Had to bend it to fit the rise in the floor. Bent the shift lever forward to get the knob closer to where it was.

Had to cut down the consult had made because the shifter hit it.

Then started the camper AC swap.

New AC unit is on the camper and works. Yea. Got the consul mounted. Drove it for an half hour. AC in the cab quit. Only warm air.

After the 2 blowouts on the way and back from Blazer Bash, I figured I had better just swap all of the old ones, so seven tires.

Was supposed to be done by 5. Got there at 4:30. At 5 the owner goes to check on the progress. Super busy shop. 5 minutes later an ambulance and fire truck pull in, lights and sirens going. I walk out to see what was up. They were work on a guy in the bay the Frankenliner was in. I think, "oh crap, did it fall on him"?

Nope. Heart attack. The guy could not have weighed more than 150 pounds and looked to be just as old. 7 tires in a row was just too much I guess. He was alive. Was in a bay with walls on 3 sides, so nobody noticed him. They do not know how long he had been laying there.

2 other guys finished the tires so I could leave.

I hope he is OK. I will call tomorrow to check.

Dude your stuff is jinxed

since there is a camper I believe you must disclose all the people that died.

Glad to hear the guy is ok. Busting 7 big tires in 1/2 hour is humping, is no wonder he need a break.
