No major hacking needed. Here's mine with Ford shock towers. You can see how little trimming was needed on the inner.

It was originally full hydro. Went away because I liked driving it to the trails.
Now we need a thread on rear setups. That's the hard part.

This is worthwhile to emphasize. Once you start going off the vertical, you lose dampening quickly (if my trig is right, at 45* you've lost 30%.) With soft springs and/or soft shocks, it's like having no shocks at all. BTDT

From what I have seen, at 45* you lose half of the dampening. And likewise for every degree of angle the shock is at.
Valving will fix that.
Correct. I was going from the 99% that will install shocks and never touch them.
