Full body crew cab crawler

do you plan on having someone sand blast them first? i know the paint is supposed to be pretty harmful to inhale

That is the older paint. The paint on the AT4000's are supposed to be ok.

It looks like you bought unused axles so this will not be a problem. The narrow version like you have has a weaker kingpin that gets stretched out when they run over a land mine. Most of the used narrow AT4000 have damaged kingpins. I only sell new front axles and would not recommend anyone buy the narrow version unless it is new.

They have to be new no wear on anything that I can see I'm just going to scuff up and paint nothing fancy

Don't all the AT4000's have a "center" diff, no offset? What's the plan for the front driveshaft configuration to combat this?

Man those things are beef...so sick!

Ok, I'm new to AT4000's... how much does an axle weigh? Are the brakes air or fluid actuated? If fluid, what master cylinder would you use?

I've never seen that in a Dana 60 description......Dam now I want a pair of them. :D

The wide version has a kingpin about the same size as most modern monster trucks use. They will usually survive running over a land mine. Everyone claims that they bomb proof their axles but these come bomb proof stock.

The axle complete with brakes weighs about 1500 pounds. Without brakes it weighs about 1000 pounds. Yes, the brakes weigh 500 pounds.

The brakes and air lockers are both air actuated.

Their is a really rare offset version. I have been around several thousand AT4000's and have only found 4 that were offset and they were not for sale.

Very interesting...I was not aware of that. Still interested to hear/see the result for the front d-shaft with the center diff

You said combat.....

I deemed it appropriate since it references the original use of the axles :weapon15:

Driveshafts are really not discused yet waiting till I get them in the truck to get the whole picture

The brakes are getting a full make over they we'll be a regular brake in a few weeks they are air brakes now

Are the steering arms reversible? Looks like the bolt pattern is, but are they keyed?

I'm sure you have seen joshgammil's Envoy build on pirate with AT4000's, but it looked like he ended up clocking his doubler down (almost straight down, more like the cases you see on monster trucks) just to get his driveshaft angles correct, then he built a "drop belly" for tcase's/skid plate and also built some of his link mounts off that too...seemed to work really well. Might be a good thing to consider

I can see that helping with the angle of the shaft, by not having both the side and the up and down. Link clearance is helped too. I guess the ground clearance is the only thing being hurt.
