Full Synthetic ATF ??

"what does Phoenix transmission use in the transmissions they build in their shop"

BG Products synthetic blend on most vehicles, those requiring full synthetic get BG Full synthetic.

if you get bg products in bulk how big is the plastic coin in the bottom of the 55 gal drum ? ? ? :haha:

Ha! that is a good one. They actually pump it into our 250 Gallon tank we have in the shop and it goes from there to different dispensing stations. I use the 44K and some of the oil products in my fleet, the guys always grab the tokens out of the cans.

So if you have a fresh rebuild can you use full synthetic from the start? Or do you need to swap it in after the trans " breaks in"?

Who makes those lines you have on your trans?

And btw...lil story about Phoenix Trans.
Years ago my K5 took a dump in Shreveport LA. I was out there over the xmas / new years holiday drilling holes in the ground. Long story short...Shreveport is the home of the Raptor 700R4 and they have the worst reputation around...or did at that time (2009/2010). I chose to wait it a hotel so the day after new years i could get the K5 towed 500 miles to weatherford texas so the repair could be down by Phx Trans who had a great rep. Doubler and all the got got me fixed up and back on the road home to colorado in no time. First class knowledge and first class service. At that time i was running used humvee tires. When i left the shop it would actually bark the tires with a stock tbi motor...lol.

Said trans didn't live long which was no fault of Phx Trans. Came out of the encana ranch in pchute and left the hubs locked in. On my way back to work the doubler rattled itself into gear at 75 mph and lets just say the truck bunny hopped and cracked the trans in half like a n egg....no more 700r4 or doubler for me....

You have to drill an additional hole in the rad cooler and in the secondary cooler and then run another hose between them. Of course one of the original lines wouldn't move much fluid. Oh well, have to go with what the builder recommends. :dunno: :haha:
