Okay, here's the rules:
Please post the specs on your rig in non-enigma code. I am getting better at reading the cryptic signatures, but I'm not 100%. Even better, just copy the format that I'm using to list my specifications /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Anything that you think wll effect gas millage, please list. IE, ejector seats probably wont, but non-stock timing might.

Because I'm lazy and closed minded, please no metric readings /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

No but I would like to know more about the truggy. Are there any kind of gassoline considerations on trail-only rigs? Mines going to be a DD too, so just like every other souse I'm looking for a good harmony.

The 6.2 wasn't much in the go department, but got the gas millage.
I always wondered why more people don't run diesels off road. Easier to water proof, and torque!!!

85 K5.
2" Body lift
10 bolts, rear gov-bomb
3.73 gears.
Q78 TSL's (~36" tall)
700R4 w/shift kit
6.2 diesel-220K miles
-Rebuilt pump, fuel screw increased to much
-6.5 Injectors
-J-code intake
Heavy right foot.
average mpg=20.

same setup with 33" BFG radials that measure 31.5"- average MPG=23-24.

Nothing for the truggy. I kept it basically stock using off-the-shelf parts for easy repair and it will run fine on any automotive grade gasoline I can find anywhere. The TBI computer even compensates for altitude changes. That's nice considering I may go from sea level to 8k+ elevation from one trip to the next. I don't need or want tons of power, the stock TBI does just fine, what I do want is easy servicing with cheap parts and as robust as possible. Now if I can just get my suspension to be as robust as the drive train has been...

DMax/Alli trail rig? Not till they get MUCH cheaper, and they are not light or small...

Plus weight, smell, mess (common), and noise. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But I gotta say, Rene's was nicely done and I had no problems with it on the trail (smell, noise, etc.). It worked very well IMO. If I were doing a daily driver with mpg and longevity concerns with solid off-road capability, I would probably be looking for a turbo 6.2/6.5.
