gas gage fix

get me an email and I'll send you a step by step trouble shooting doc.
Wow... Did GM make a gas gauge that actually worked??? Both my S-10 and my K5 have non functioning gas gauges... [email protected] or post it up somewhere. This seems to be a rappidly spreading illness among our trucks.

I've owned 2 '73 K5's, (still have 1, in the middle of a rebuild), 1 '75 C10, 1 '78 K5, and 1 '86 C10 (still have,My DD), never had any troubles with the gas gauge system on any of them.

sorry about bringing up an old thread, but mine has the same problem as the beggining post...gas gage stays at full and a half....

if any one has that document or if alec sees this, could you please send one to [email protected]

I'm getting tired of having to carry around a 5 gallon gas can with me everywhere I go in case I run out of gas because my gauge is also broken. I'd like to fix it when I do my shackle flip. I'd appreciate it if someone e mailed me the info to fix it, thanks.

Edit: I agree it should be included in the tech section, lots of people's gauges don't work and with gas prices rising it would be nice to know exactly how much is in there.

I agree with a tech article or posting too. Me and a buddy are driving 300 miles to paragon this weekend for the maiden voyage of his truck. He just put in a new autometer fuel guage and it's all over the place when we drive. Even bypassed the factory wiring with a jumper and still same thing!!
