Get ready to jump on the bashwagon

Well aside from the lack of crossover steering, the fact that he says it has a FI350 stock and im not quite convinced thats a d60. It is a little high priced for my tastes but looks to be a good foundation to a great truck. But the pics arent great so who knows. I have herd superlift makes great air cleaners.

Hmmm i dont know. Im thinking someone put the body of a military truck on a civi model. Standard trans, vacc booster, and what appears to be a NON-D60 are clues. Could be a one off CUCV i guess.

Well, let's start politely...

I note that the VIN decodes as a civilian 3/4 ("2500") ton pickup, and not a CUCV; also, CUCV's have diesel motors with automatics, and the axles are decidedly not the D60 and 14B full-floater from a CUCV; they look remarkably like the 10 bolt and 14 bolt semi-floater on a civilian 3/4 ton pickup.

In short, this thing wouldn't seem to be as advertised; is this by intent, or lack of information?

I know they made them in 1987 because that is what I got my axles out of. All of the ones I have seen are diesels.

I don't think so.... I thought it was a D60 rear... could be wrong though
Looks like a semifloater

So this menas I too cold have a CUCV after a coat of flat green. ;)

Everyone hit the nail on the head.

The thing I'm wondering about is the body. While it does look like a true CUCV, I'd like to know if someone swapped the VIN plate into the cab. There's no possible way of this being an M1008 as the title would list "D3" instead of "V2". Unless someone painted the truck OD, its a civilian V20, period.

Another hint that its a 3/4 ton truck: the rear shocks are outboard of the frame rails. 1 tons are inboard.

I also sent him a message. he responded with, "this truck is a great buy"

he did add to the listing though and correct that it is a 10 bolt and 14sf. I feel bad for the high bidder if he didn't look closely at the pictures.
