Getting rid of Spiders and recluse's out of my truck

We cant spend money on exterminators, So were havent even visited them...
I guess we could go get an estimate or try and find someone nice enough to tell us what it would take ourselves.

And chaddy, I cant access attachments untill next week lol. Thats when i signup.

And 71 blazer, your about 40 mins away from me, Go by there a few times a year on the way to dinwiddle, Uncles got a 72 nova on nitrous.

As far as the wetness.. Not too much of a problem i dont think, And for taking out the seats, The spiders are everywhhere including the seats so im leaving those =P.

I think im going to roll down the windows about 3-4 inches, take out the sunroof, And bomb it to hell. Should i blast it from the rear seat? or what?

Double dose of bug bombs. I do it to my hunting camper and and outhouse at the deerlease at least once a year. I know an old guy back home that had a brown recluse bite him on the b*lls in an outhouse when he was younger. I'll take my chances with genetic mutation any day.

I think im just gonna buy 3 bug bombs from RAID, the foggers and set one off, if it works ill save the other two.

Still waiting on the email from RAID =/

I think that the bomb idea is the best so far. Just be sure to wipe everything down and air it out when you are done.

OK just cover the seats with news paper. Like just fold it over top of seats and remember that the fogger will spray up wards. If you have a garage I would set one off where you could see it from a window and see how the fogger sprays I did one in a basement and it said to put it in middle of room about 3 feet off floor and to put news papers under area.

I think you have a good handle on what your doing now Get R done!

Yeah, do you have access to a garage? You could set off 2 of them in the garage and not have to worry about getting too much in the truck and you wouldn't have to worry about the wetness inside the truck. Just open the doors and stuff while it's being sprayed. Plus, the garage would then be bug free too.

No garage, but i do have a 10x7 OLD termite and bug infested shead.. I suppose we could do a test run on that, Its smaller so the results should better resemble what happens in the k5.

will probably make a run out tuesday for it.
Will keep checking back and update you on how it does on the shead and truck, and how effective it is.

Thanks everyone!(keep this unlocked please)

this will sound wierd, but how about one of those things you plug into a wall outlet that produces sounds or emp or something that bugs don't like? really easy way would be to use a power inverter while you're driving, and an extension cord otherwise. i'd probably hardwire the inverter in with its own switch so i could leave it running when the engine isn't or shut it off any time. the gizmo shouldn't use enough juice to drain a battery overnight or anything. just an idea.

Viper Insecticide Concentrate this is the best that I have used.I spray outside my house and in my shop twice a year this stuff works great. You can get it at most feed stores.

For the electronic repellers, i got em in everyroom, they dont work too well of course, But it does repel some of the pests out of this room, Thought about doing that, I got a 140 watt inverter, and a noisy 500 watt inverter. Dont know if the ciggarette lighter works yet, Guess its the time to find out

Ill go run one out there tonight and hope it dosent 0wn the battery by the end of the night. Its a new battery but the alternator isnt the best, so hopefully it has a full charge.

if you set off the bug bomb go to wally world and get like 10 of the real tree camo airfreshner tree thingys...:waytogo:

Definitely lol,set off three coconut ones at once. leave a few in there for a month or so.

I have the rear window cracked with an outdoor extension cable with the pest repeller dangling. , I guess well see if it works, Ill probably leave it in there a few days, If it rains ill hook it up to the cig lighter.

Repeller seems to be working surprisingly! Aint seen one yet besides daddy long legs which dont bother me.

Cant beleive its working in such little time.
If it dosent fully solve it, then ill goto the foggers.

Isn't carb cleaner bad for plastics and wiring?

Would the bug bomb leave a residue on the glass? I know some stuff on glass is impossible to get off.

I like the idea of bagging or putting the truck in a shed and bug bombing that way.

Good luck!

Brown Recluse spider bites are a serious problem, they can cause numerous and lingering health effects. I think I'd prefer a poisoness bite and be sick for a couple of days.

I have used the raid air foggers in my truck and it works great. I only left the drivers side window cracked open a little. It did the job. I did it again the next night just to be safe and I haven't seen one inside in a while. I would air it out for at least 2 hours. They work really good in the garage, also.

BlazinD, Could you tell me which raid fogger you used? Did you cover anything up? Did it leave crap on the glass?

Thanks

The way I remove spiders is drain diff oil, remove lock bolt or roll pin (which ever you have) slide out crosspin and rotate dif to allow spiders to fall out.:D

Of course the truck does not go very well after that:doah: .

Oh Ya PAD:D
