You know you would not need to do front digs if you put the full hydro steering on it.
Yes that is a plug for my ram that is for sale.

I havent forgot Wade. I think I have my 700/241 sold, and I know where the money is goingYou know you would not need to do front digs if you put the full hydro steering on it.

Small, light, lower gearing and not really a big price difference between it and a doubler.
Why not do the 241 doubler, same thing as the Black Box but a whole lot less price wise.
The Black box is more than twice what a doubler costs, depends on which cases you can come up with but you really want the 32 spline 205 regardless of if you go with black box or doubler.

I don't think so. Heck the ORD kit is about $800 by itself and the BB is about $1500 so right off the bat the doubler is already a little over half the cost of a BB.
That being said we all know you can build a 203/205 for less than a BB but the lower gearing and compact all in one package of the BB is appealing to some guys. Plus if we all ran the same junk it'd be pretty boring, some guys are willing to pay a little more to be different.![]()

Avery, you and 38377k5 have both said the same thing but differently. The BB is double the cost of a doubler or the doubler is half the cost of a BB.![]()
) PLUS you have to get shifters for the ORD setup which are $200... so a doubler will run ya' in the $1200 range where as a BB is about $1500 including the cable shifter.

Right but this is all "about" pricing since cases and rebuild costs are different from guy to guy. The point I was making is the 205's are a wash (unless you stick your BB behind something you already have) but you have to get a 203 for the ORD setup where as you don't on the BB setup (obviously) PLUS you have to get shifters for the ORD setup which are $200... so a doubler will run ya' in the $1200 range where as a BB is about $1500 including the cable shifter.
I'm going to bed, I'll probably read all this tomorrow and confuse even myself.![]()

Simply, there isn't a 241 doubler kit. D&D used to make one but AFAIK at this point you'd have to make your own from scratch like I did and to be honest I'm not sure I'd want to do that again. It seems like it's not that much work but I did so much fabrication, figuring out how to do stuff etc. that it wouldn't surprise me if I had 50 or more hours into my doubler (things like research, getting the case to someone that can weld it, paying to get it welded, figuring out custom shifters, making the adapter plate takes a lot of time, making a support for the shift fork rod, clocking rings, etc). Add in the cost of the shaft, the 241 case, shifters etc and it's not so economical.
