good ultimate adventure rigs

yeah diesels! if youre not racing anyone, and youve got the right gears, they will run forever. plenty of torque for crawllin around, and as many have said 20+mpg. even with lift and tires. hard to beat it. Also, if youre running 100% biodiesel, its biodegradeable in the case of a spill. so you can keep the tree huggers happy on the trail :)

I drive mine atleast 3 days a week and we go on lil trips maybe 50 miles at a time, 83 swb/stepside, d60 welded, crossover, hydro assist, 8inch front springs, 14b, detoit, diy shackle flip, 6inch shackles, stock rear springs with a leaf added and the overload ditched, easy inch, 456s, 39.5/15/15s, 358, 670 truck avenger, 465/205..i drove it everyday until i got the k20.....i have that as a play toy, my k20 as a work truck(18mpg) and the 2500hd on 37s(15mpg) for a nice vehicle......heres the 3...

If I dropped down to a 37-38" tire this would be really good for a multi-purpose rig for 2-4 people.

I fatigued the rears and need to upgrade to 3/4 or 1 ton springs. I rub up front but I haven't moved the axle forward yet. I don't think 37s or 38s would have as much of a problem.

Take out the rear seat and you have a good amount of room for stuff and the second seat fits two with no problem.

its italian olive krylon from walmart........2.97 a can.......thanks

60"? What in the world did those come out of?

Redbird was almost right they are the rear (obviously) out of a 95 Dodge half ton, they are 60" long, in that pic I had 5" superlift springs on front and back and it sat nose high I later changed to stock springs in the front with one leaf from the lift pack and it sat nose low just a little.

And the crossover is a parts mike crossover. I didn't mind it but like the more conventional crossover more. On my current truck I have ORD arms

that is a mean looking burban! You have come a long way with that thing, congrats man. The work is definitely paying off

Thanks :D

Is that the one that was for sale in CA? Looks great :waytogo: are those 39's or 42's

I'm running those out back, definitely not stiff enough in stock form for the rear of a suburban, I had to add the leaves from another spring pack.

They work great for a homemade shackle flip though.

Thanks :D

No, that was Smokey's if it is the one I was thinking about. His was more of an off white or tan and had a BOR rear bumper while I had the matcing front.

The tires are 39.5s. Looking into the enw 40" LTBs next with black rock customs bead locks.
