Goodyear Wrangler R/T II

These tires, just like some others, have a natural crown to them and I think even with wide rims you'd still have it to some degree. There's about no way I'd be able to drop the pressure low enough on my Michelins to get rid of the curve even with 9" wide tires on a 6.5" wide rim.

Here were my RT/II's on the GM OEM steelies:

9.75 is still to narrow why do you think they wear out of round on the hmmwv's too:rolleyes: even with runnin 25 psi they still donut!

I never had a problem with these tires wearing out on the crown. I had 60+ HMMWVs that I maintained and our bigest issue was the outer edges wearing down due to the poor caster due to overloaded or under loaded vehicles. I don't see this as being a problem with a straight axle truck as the caster is fixed and the tires would remain relatively straight up and down on either axle(a little caster change during turning in the front).

They due flat spot, I had no problem with balancing. I live in New England and get alot of different terrain, they are stiff for rocks, do good in mud and snow have not had them in sand. With a locker they are slippery of wet roads. I will get it for this comment but swampers just wear to fast for the $ if you have to drive on the road, they will outlast four sets in my opinion. Decent tire for the money.

I have only seen the wear characteristics on a very heavy truck(9Klb), so I can't comment on how they would wear on our lighter trucks.
