Got any cool tools lately?

Ever run across wooly mammoth remains when building the hoth system tunnels
Closest I find is frozen cat turds and the occasional potted plant, but I did uncover a tarp, a broom, a sled and a shovel in the last week :dunno:. Oh, and that rock that probably messed up the chain to begin with. It's good to count heads from time to time and make sure none of the kids are buried. My son jumped off the upper deck a few days ago and sank up to his chest, but he was able to climb out OK.

I picked up a bench top drill press, a little holder thing for gloves and a few paint guns in hopes of painting the Blazer in ‘25.

Horrible Freight had the paint guns on sale for 50% off so for $15 ea I figured they’re disposable per coat. lol

At the same time it snowballed and I moved a 40 ft long wall over 16 ft and remodeled part of my shop to expand the insulated/heated section and steal from my cold storage.

Went from this...

To this...(that wall through the door above used to be where the fire extinguisher is below)

During my construction...I reused all the doors, and built a couple new walls.

Still continuing to get my shop equipped. Found out rather quickly that what was barely adequate in a small basement work area isn't cutting it in a much larger shop. The crane made getting it out of the truck so much easier than muscling it down.

For me this is a big upgrade. I have been using a 30 gallon homeowner type compressor for years. I'm just happy that I'll be able to use an air tool for more than a minute or so before the pressure drops too low to effectively use it and then wait a few more to get back up to full pressure.

Nice. A lot of lighting is mandatory.

Everyone with a shop bigger than 2 cars, should own a forklift.

I have all the makings of a NICE 65 gallon compressor at my shop. New tank, rebuilt compressor, etc.
But I use very few air tools anymore. :dunno:
Cordless took over all but a few basic things so I never really think of the compressor.
All I really need it for is pumping tires, painting occasionally, and an occasional die grinder.

I have the skidloader with forks.
Not as maneuverable, but does the job lol.
I think I've used the forks more than either bucket.

It looks like that is that rated for metal abrasive dust?
Goes on the blast cabinet for dust collection . The filters can be washed out and reused . Has a shaker inside to knock off the filters as needed . Does 300-350 cfm .

With all the wiring I have to do in my burb yet, I'm tempted to get a hydraulic.
I have a big manual, but a bunch of 1/0 is gonna suck with that lol.
