Got any cool tools lately?

I have a nice husky that I love using. I've had it about 18-19 years. Never done chit to it but use it.

Decided in March to get it professionally gone through. Realized Monday that I never heard back from them.... Never thought about it till now, didn't need it.
Went to them and asked about it... The lady looked it up and said "Oh. I'll have him get right on that for you."

They hadn't even touched it yet. In 5 months!
I walked out and went n stood in a 20+ person line at the chainsaw area of Farm n Fleet to get this one. They had 3 left when I was up.

It never even crossed my mind that I should have taken my husky with me when I left the service place.

And no, it wasn't a husky service center. My mistake there. :doah:

This saw is nice though. Hope it lasts me the way my husky has

Yeah I would go get that saw 5 months. For just a service not even repair. Sounds like civil service to me.

Bought this last night, kinda on a whim.

The one I have is a 10" Harbor Freight job a buddy gave me. It's miter lock is busted so it only works where there are detents and the head angle lock slips constantly.

Decided it was time to step up my game a little. Gonna try to get it mounted on my stand today and try it out!

Haven't bought much "lately" for tools, but one good score I made at a pawn shop about 2 years ago,was getting these old school tire chain pliers for a whopping $3...makes making up or shortening tire chains for my tractors out of truck & car tire chains a hell of a lot easier..
(not the actual pilers pictured, but the closest image I could find that looks very similar--the handles are a bit longer on mine)..

These will cut chains, open the links up,crush them shut, and also grab both endes of the chains are pull them together so they'll be taught against the tire while installing them..tire chain pliers.jpg

I’ve been thinking about one of those, worth it? Is it as awesome as it seems like it would be?

Definitely a cool tool, mostly because it will get in smaller places where my impact won’t. I convinced my Dad to buy one a couple years ago so I could try it first :D
