Got any cool tools lately?

I like that ratchet because it will get things tight enough without worrying you're going to over torque it. Like the alternator bolt that threads into the ear of the aluminum case.

Didn't get one, but I made one.
We have two magnet rollers around the shop, and they don't pick chit up as far as I'm concerned.
They'll pick up a screw in the driveway, but a stray rock might just knock it back off.

So, I went to planning nd came up with this.
I ordered a bunch of 3/4" wide, 2.5" long neo magnets. And stuck them to a piece of 3/4" square tube.
I had an old lawnmower around to source wheels off of. Then some scrap metal I had laying around.
Then I found a handle that had the treaded end broke, and stuck it on there.

Now I have a MAGNET roller lol. Each one has 30# of hold force. It works very good :waytogo:

That thing will grab screws in the yard and rip chunks of grass out before it lets go of the screw. I rolled it around the fence I just did, (already rolled it with my old one:rolleyes:), and came up with 2 or 3 it missed. Lol.

If you get it within 3" of a piece of 1/8" plate it'll suck it right in and it's a BIATCH to get that off though :doah:lol. .....
A little twist and slide gets it.

Hit or miss these days at stores . I was on a out of town run 2.5hr away and finaly found one in a small town hf store .

And there online store info per location is WAY OFF .

Decided to buy myself the Milwaukee 3/8” stubby m12 impact to go along with my m12 ratchet. Also bought 2 3ah batteries since they were $35 off at Home Depot.

I looked at one of those for my wife. It was still $400 at the time, so I got her a Cricut maker instead. Cuts out vinyl designs and such.

Seeing that price, she may get a bigger Christmas lol.

It was on clearance for like $60 at our harbor freight. Not sure if they are in the others, or because the box to this one was tore up.:dunno:
I'm even more happy because I have a JD2 model 32 bender :D and now I can put this on it and bend up some tube :woot:

Yeah I have the same ram setup on my jd2! Works great! Idk why I didn't think to put one on my engine hoist. I need to snap a pic of my hydraulic jackstand that I built a while back. That one makes suspension work much easier

Can't really say it's a cool tool. But I ordered one of these the other day. I really hated how shakey and un-balanced feeling my old HF one was. So I let it go with the motor that was on it for $20 more than I paid for it  lol.

Figured it's time for a new one.

I have one of these i bought second hand and Holy crap I love it! I actually don't use it for engines, but for axles. I built a plate with pivots welded to it and 2 arms to hold an axle. Whats nice is when setting up suspensions I can articulate the axle by just turning the handle. I did do some modifications to take some of the alop out but it love that thing

Well fork :doah:
Jets just sent me an email that it is backordered to late April..... Guess I'm cancelling that and looking somewhere else.
Problem is that everywhere else for the same design is almost $100 more

Why yes I do lol.
I may do that.
I see that HF has a 2000# one also. It's in stock about 3 miles from me, and the same price. Im going to look at theirs quick.
Only difference I see is theirs has 3 wheels when folded instead of 4 :dunno:

I was kind of hoping to have my engine torn down and ready for the block work by next monday. The jegs one was supposed to be here this week.
