Got any cool tools lately?

Can you cut a square tube longways with that? Like rip a square into two channels?

I’m continually amazed that people won’t clean up when they are getting paid to do it. The old guys are the worst here. Apparently, back in the 80’s & 90’s they had cleaners that went around sweeping and emptying trash. Those spots were eliminated and the mechs still acted like they were around. Then would complain when they were told to “clean as you go”. Always made me crazy. Clean up your damn mess.

That is in line with my experience as well. Cleaned off my dads saw table. Filled an entire brute trash can with junk. I have been here for four hours cleaning up so I can start working in the shop after being on another job for a little while.

A short piece. Less than about 5" You'll run into the motor in the back - any longer than that. Need a real bandsaw for for that kind of work. This is good if you have a tiny ass garage like I have. Multi functional in a small space.

Good for brackets and smaller stuff, also good for cutoff on bigger stuff when in horizontal position, but not good for ripping stuff down. No fence, and no blade guide, so you have to be on top of it when cutting stuff.

Yeah, this cuts, but the weld where the ends come together make a mark in the alum I was cutting. Cheap blade, I'll upgrade at some point. But did what I asked of it.

For cool tools..... Wife bought me one of these for Christmas. Between the sale and 20% off it was $110.
Kind of disappointed that it doesn't use solvent based cleaner. It uses a generic form of simple green. Oh well.

I have real solvent in mine.

It's ok for that? I was reading the instructions for the ell of it, and it said NOT to use flammable agents in it, so I assumed it wouldn't like it.
I would definitely rather use real cleaning solvent.

The main issue with flammable solvent is they need a lid to automatically close if it catches fire to try and put the flame out before burning down your house. The old ones had a lid support designed to drop the lid if it caught fire. They may have eliminated that feature.

No, it has the fusable link in the lid mechanism.
I actually thought the fluid it had next to it was the real solvent,so I bought 6 gallons. Then got home and realized it was a 1:20 mix ratio with water.... So I bought enough to last about 20 years :doah:.
Most of that is going back lol.
