Got any cool tools lately?

The recent battery cable crimping I've done I ignore the size on the terminal and the crimper. I find a terminal that fits the cable and a die the fits the terminal and crimp from there.

Same. The markings on mine do no good, other than making sure i can matchup a pair.

I plan to use the next size down.
The 6awg on the hydraulic seems to be the same size as the 4awg on the hand crimper

I did one 1/0 crimp when I first got it out, and that seemed ok. I'm going to do another and see for sure.
Really the 1/0 is all I got it for. Using the hand crimper on the other stuff is easy enough.

I had a 1/0 to do almost immediately after I found that. So I got out the hammer style V crimper.... And proceeded to smash my thumb, HARD.
So I'm done for the day and wishing I didn't have to work tonight lol.

I tried to hold it on the vice instead of mounting it  :doah::haha:

back when I was robbed the first time, they took a Harbor Freight 225 piece suitcase set; however, I had been using it and the 1/4 ratchet was out. last Christmas Walmart had a bundled set of 1/4 sockets in shallow and deep in standard or metric on sale for $10. I had bought a wobble extension set at HF and then this Christmas Lowes had some little tool bags on sale. so I put it all together and made a little handy 1/4 drive set to throw in the tool bag.

Not new, but still handy.

Gift from my dad, i was 16-18 years old. Who said teenagers can't care for tools.

Gift from my wife, she knew I wanted one, but wouldn't get it, so she went to my Mac dealer and got it for me as birthday gift. Our first year of marriage.
Used both to fine tune the advances on the 77

I have this set. But I've found I'm not happy with the style of crimp.
Been using the V style at work for 28 years. Always liked it.

The one like that I just got we figured out you have to use the next size smaller dies on everything.
