Looks good.
Not sure how compatible they are, but I have a 75 CJ-5 with a descent frame and a shot body I can sell for cheap.....Might save you a ton of time repairing this one.
I might be interested if we weren't 10 hrs from each other. Thanks for the offer though, I thought about buying a good cj7 frame that I found in my area a couple weeks ago but decided not too, it's cheaper for me to just repair it and a frame swap would probably be more time consuming anyway.

Looks like a good fix. I had a 1981 Chevy Luv that the frame rusted out on, the front bracket for the passenger side rear leaf spring broke out of the frame. I ended up plating half the frame. It really stiffened it up and never had another issue with it.
I see a lot of vehicles with severely rotted frames like that,yet the body is absolutely perfect...and vice versa,I see a lot with perfect frames that have the body rotting off it too...it is weird how rust seems picky as far as what areas it will attack--I think the composition of the steel itself has a lot to do with it--if a frame or body part is made of previously rusted recycled steel,it rots away very fast and completely..practically nothing today is made of "virgin" steel...
Finally got some real work done on the jeep today. Cut out the passenger side of the frame from just forward of the spring hanger all the way back. Then with it on the table, cut out the first section that needs repair, and got as far as tacking in the new piece, which I will still have to box in the rest of the way but it's a start. Progress is progress I guess. Also picked up a tire carrier and spare wheel/tire today.
