got me a tow rig finally 84 k30

yall think those heads have been worked on before? never seen an engine with anything other than black paint.

also its still got those plastic things behind the fenderwell! crazy.

that factory radio works and sounds real good but i cant set the buttons anymore.
the fuel gauge and tank switch dont work, gauge always reads super full, basically at 3 o'clock.
also my rear running lights work but no brake lights, the clearance lights dont ever come on. when the compressor cycles, the wipers go round.

seems i got a few extras with this truck lol

you have a syncro 205 tcase also. the rear cover for the front output has the tear drop on it. sine of a syncro 205.

nice truck.

its in the upper half of the big cover on the backside of the case, its cause this truck has auto hubs right? is having a synchro case a good thing?

its the thing thats kinda rubbed off to silver again, right in the middle above the center circle.

its got a 6 inch skyjacker front leafs and stacked blocks out back!! WOOHOO! definatley gonna have to do some adjustments, and im gonna put basically your wheels with some 9.00 16 traction tires. i also want a red one like yours! lol

I love it. Congrats!

I just pulled out some 6" skyjacker blocks. Want them so you can ditch the stack? I cant throw them in a flat rate box for the cost of postage.

My 88 CC had a fixed yoke. Wes, can you answer this for us?
Yeah, only the crew cabs and cab & chassis trucks got the fixed yokes. All the other trucks got slip yokes, from K5 to K30/35.

Any pics of the rest of the PTO setup. Looking good!

Oh, and flip that air cleaner lid back over! All you do is suck hot air when you do that, and make your intake sound different.

It makes it growl! I liked how mine sounded with it upside down.

Didn't like sucking water into the engine and blowing red hot chunks of who knows what engine part out the tail pipe though.

GAWD i love this truck, pulled a couple stumps today. first one was easy but the second gave me a bit of trouble.

An easier way to remove stumps without tearing up your rig would be to put a spare tire under the chain/strap right by the stump. It would give leverage to pull the stump straight up instead of you pulling it out at an angle. It makes it a lot easier on your rig, too. The tire will give you some slack in the chain instead of jerky results like shown in your video. Just stand the tire up and put the chain/strap right on top of it down to the stump and then pull it as you would.

Nice dually. FYI, your rear is the D70HD since the truck has the big wide fiberglass fenders on the steel bed. This is the w i d e D70 with 4" tubes. A dually 14FF will be way too narrow for this bed. Crawl down under your rig and compare the diff cover to the front D60. You'll find they're identical.

Cool! Thanks for doing my homework for me. I was too lazy to do the foot work needed to be exact on the rear end on my truck.
