well, i was due for some new headers, and decided i should shop around. i do not plan on running my 350 for much longer, so i didn't want to spend alot. i was going to buy the cheapo summit headers, but stumbled on these, and could not find any info, so here you go.

i ordered these:

so far they are going on ok. i had to slightly dimple one of the tubes to get it to clear the motor mount, and i had to slightly "egg" out one of the bolt holes, but for the price paid i am very impressed so far. they clear my HD shackles by about 1/2 an inch, which should be fine IMO. i snapped a few pics so far. i also ordered some header buddies to get rid of those awful gaskets.

i only have the drivers side on at the moment, and will let you know about the pass fitment. so far, well worth the 130bucks spent.

Curious to see pass side. Seems thats the side that usually interferes with the shackle.

As far as header gaskets, it came with nice metal gaskets. another thing to note is that the flange that bolts to the head is about a 1/2 in thick. no way that thing will warp, and it makes me feel really good compared to the junk that came off. the passenger side went right in no problem, i had to oblong a couple bolt holes, bc i did not like the way the 6 bolts were starting. they are sealed up really good. they are super loud at this point until i connect my exhaust back up.

please ignore the wiring mess under the hood as i am working on fixing it this weekend.

anyhow, the passenger side does sort of interfere with the shackle, but i think i can clearance the collector flanges a little, or flip the bolt around. it's definately workable.

on to the pics of pass side:

After completely smashing my toe crushing matchbox cars as a kid with a 2lb sledge, I wince at the thought of sandals.

I dropped a 14 bolt carrier with ring gears and spiders on my big toe from waist height. I wasn't wearing sandals, but I wasn't wearing steel toed boots either. I may have felt more pain at some point in my life, but I can't remember when.

I don't do crazy heavy lifting in sandels. That's stupid. But I have welded and used a cutting torch.... But not a big deal as a career welder... My feet has seen berries before:yikes:

I have a cheap set I bought on ebay that look just like that on my C10 but they're shorter. They cleared the frame and mount fine, I would think they would be OK on a 4wd as well.
