Grandpa’s Blazer gettin fixed up…

Papa is fixing up grandpa’s ole Blazer
I generally remember most technical stuff I read, at least enough to know where to search for it. But I cannot remember a name to save my life.
I am kind of the same.
It takes me 3 instances with the person to remember their name but I can remember faces and technical stuff just like that.

Anyone have a set of the round spacer I could buy or know where I can source them. I am putting on energy suspension and it calls for these to be reused but where welded to the large round washer it’s nasty or unwelded.

Give me dimensions (dia and overall height) and I likely have some better ones, but there are 4 or 5 different sizes over the years.

Hope everybody had a great weekend quick question. I’m looking for the intake for my engine. Bill wanted to use Edelbrock. Does anybody have a recommendation? My engine builder said a 650 CFM car would probably be most correct for the build. I didn’t know if there was a specific intake that any of y’all had good results with on a 400 small block any input welcomed thank you.

There are a couple different Edelbrock manifolds you can use.
Question where is your cams rpm power band? Sorry if covered earlier, I forget.
Probably the performer rpm
will do the job.
Personally I would use a Quadrajet carb, it can be as big or small as the engine needs up to 750cfm. It is also the best performer in odd angles. Steep up and down hill, tilting right or left, Holley and Edelbrock don't do these as well.

Is the engine bone stock or have any modifications, headers, cam, anything?

What heads? original, vortec, aftermarket?

Which carb are you using, or EFI?

Bored 30 over 224 roller cam 650cfm carb no choke in FL so not real necessity. Msd box electric fuel pump instead of mechanical most all else stock. First rebuild at 91000 miles. I don’t know much more than that I am the noob here. Good at tinkering and basic mechanical call in neighbor for major issues engine shop doing build.

Original heads reworked.

Then I would go with a Performer RPM Air Gap intake or a Performer RPM. I can get you a new one if you need.

Is this a difficult fix? Small seep at bottom of where trans merries up to transfer case.

New topic. I am in to recycling repurposing and saving money. I think fixing up an old ride is better than a new alternative powered vehicle or most of the crap on the market.

That being said what does one do with old parts?

This is the best I could do on my own. The chain produced has some rust and the flares on the brake lines are not consistent but I think it is still a win.

Thoughts?

Pulled apart transfer. Why would this have two seals back to back?

I think the seals are 3173-SSR National was stamped hard to read. Shouldn’t there only be one seal?
