Thanks for all of the comments guys! I woke up this moring and felt like I got hit by a bus. I think all of these long nights caught up with me and I may be getting a touch of the flu. I had the worst 24 hour flu ever about a month ago so this one isn't to bad. I was just laying on the couch this morning thinking "why me?"! LOL! Anyways, I feel a lot better now! I hope it passes before tomorrow.

I have this kick ass camcorder mount from back in my motorcycle days and I am going to see if I can't mount that on the K5 and hook up the camcorder to get some videos. I am going to try to leave work in the next 30-45 minutes so I can go home and test drive her and make sure everything is good. I will try to post up some pics before tonight.

Very Cool Mike....hope the test runs turns out well.

Test run went well. Tranny is filled, oil is changed, I put a new tstat in it because the motor isn't warming up very well unless its under load but it didn't help. Cool motor = no heat! Anyways, I gotta top of the coolant once the motor cools off and put the hood on and load it on the trailer. Oh and I gotta load up all of my trailer supplies into the storage containers in the back of the rig.

Here is a pic of the "current state" of my build. Oh yeah, it took it through some nasty ruts/mud and it didn't even spin a tire. :D

cool Mikey...have a blast, and don't carnage it up.

Stick a piece of cardboard in front of your radiator to get the heater to work.

No problem. Just watch the temp guage when you first do it. You might have to trim it if you put too big of a piece in there.

Dude, these things are never done. Once you go down this road it never ends. Good job on getting it rolling again though.:D

So frostbite was awsome! I was impressed with what my k5 was able to do. We followed Shane (stan1688) around when we first got there and he and his buddy spotted me over what I consider a pretty crazy/hard obsticle but we made it up and it was awsome! During that journy I broke a shackle bolt but didn't notice until after Shane and I parted ways and I made it halfway down a black diamond trail. We limped it back to the entrance, hopped in the Dmax and drove to town, found some bolts and returned to make the repairs. After that we did some more wheeling and drove through a pretty nice water hole on the way to a scary looking hill climb and I instantly heard my front drivers tire hissing. We hopped out and took a look and found a portion of tree had made its way between my tire and my wheel. Got that fixed but while we were doing that repair I noticed what appeared to be a loose tranny/tcase adaptor bolt so I went to tighten it and found it was stripped out. Long story short, the whole situation is FUBAR as well as SNAFU. Got that "fixed" with 6 very large zip ties and made the scary looking hill look like childs play. After that we drove around hitting differant trails and stopping to watch some crazy SOBs do some chit that I can only dream of. Toward the end of the day we were doing one last hill climb and my motor started loosing power and my brother looked down and saw I had no oil pressure. Long story short (again) is it runs ok on flat ground but hills are a no go. I am going to start another thread about it because it would no get very much attention here and I need some help with it. All in all it was a very good time and I can't wait to go back! Sorry, I was to busy having fun this year to take any pictures but I do belive Shane's buddy got some pretty cool pics.

Didn't get to do a whole lotta wheelin' cause it was so crowded but had a good time anyway.

PICS: :D

Yea, it's a jeep, but has the heart of a chevy...

Unfortunately, that's pretty much all the pictures we got (sorry Mike). Had a blast with ya. Loved the blazer. We need to do it again sometime.

lookin good, must be real nice to take the truck out after all the mods

just a little update

Hey guys,

Just wanted to give my build a little update. I installed new upper shackle bushings and bolts on my front axle and I have taken her wheeling twice. Once the other night and once today. I must say it was well worth the wait to get this thing built.

A little run down of today:

I managed to get up the creek bank that I was bitchin about in my tbi thread! WHOO HOO!

I got stuck once and had to winch out of a sand bed in a creek. That was fun.

My throttle got stuck while trying to turn around in a creek and I almost flipped it. (REAL CLOSE!!!)

My wife is mad at me but I can't wait till next weekend!!!

Here are some pics! I am going to try and post a vid in a bit.
