Guess what's going into production about this time next year.

I never understood why some people buy the six cylinder cars , thats like dating a woman with no boobs

I don't understand the rice burning "sport compacts" either but they sell very well.

I guess it's like a lot of other things. Looks mean more than substance. They like to look the part (i.e. "fast") even if they really aren't.

That's what I like about the GTO. It's faster than about 90% of the cars out there without looking like I'm driving a penis extension.

too bad they do it wrong, usually.

-thunderbird ranged from boring to ghey.
-gto is a great performer, but i think it looks boring.
-mustang actually seems to be doing well...doesn't mean i like it.
-charger...don't get me started.
-malibu has nothing in common with the original. decent car, though, for what it is.
-vw beetle - original was goofy, but functional. new one is girly and has ridiculous electrical problems.

i pray i don't have to watch the barricuda, chevelle, or falcon go down the same way. i think playing the nostalgia card only works if the new version has enough in common with the original, and isn't a piece of junk.

i guess we'll never see another corvair, thanks to ralph nader. really wasn't a bad car once they changed the rear axle design.

one thing i find weird is that we're getting a new camaro, but where's the firebird? we need a 2009 trans am, complete with a screaming chicken on the hood.

i agree. i like the 4.3L in my pickup, but for one thing. it's reliable, gets the job done, gets decent mpg and propels me fast enough to get plenty of tickets. the car v6s aren't as good, IMO, and if i had an f-body, i'd have 8 cylinders pumping away.
Hey you forgot about the triumphant return of the Chevy Nova.

The Chevelle did go down the same way , can't think of Malibu and not think Chevelle . My 70 Malibu IS my 70 Chevelle .

a lot of people don't seem to remember that a malibu was a chevelle. i find that odd. some tend to see firebirds and trans ams as two different things also. a firebird isn't always a TA, but a TA is always a firebird. it annoyed me when they rereleased the malibu without holding true to anything about the original. i haven't heard talk of using the chevelle name in a year or so, so maybe they are off of that.

and good point about the gto. it's fast, but it's not a billboard that says, "puny in the pants".
