H1 wheels dumb question of the day.

I saw you said they have square valve stem holes, Is that on the 12 bolts, cause my 8 bolts had round?
Hmmmm. Never pulled the valve out of an 8 bolt. They looked the same on the outside.

Mine, and every 8 bolt H1 I've seen have had round stem holes. I simply went to discount and bought some of the longer rubber stems they had. I got some steel/rubber ones at first, but they were too short with my rock rings, and returned them for the longer ones. Now they are easy to reach with the air chuck, yet still protected by the RR.

My 8 bolts had the round valve stem hole and my 12 bolts have some crazy looking valve stem, but I have not removed one to see the hole shape.

from what i was told (i repeat, TOLD) at drill this last weekend is that the square or round vavle stems were designed different for radial and biased. im not sure which was set for wich or why they need to be different.

IF that is true round would be bias and rectangle would be radial.

To which I would add WTF????

Not saying you weren't told that but it sure sounds screwy. I suppose I could rig up some wood "jig" to drill them out with my drill press. Probably should as these are a pain in the arse!

Because the 8 bolts are for the old bias plies and the 12 bolts are for the newer radial.
