H4 headlight conversion done!!

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, speakinig of conversions, BlazeKraze did one on his, but he used a different vehicles headlight system, i believe it was from a Cavalier?
I was looking at another car the other day and was wondering, it seems like it should fit, the headlight system off of the Caprice, the ones with the composite lights, from say around 90-91 or so? Anybody ever seen this done? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Celebrity lights fit perfectly, Cavalier are too small and Caprice are too wide. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Does this happen to come with a CK5 discount?

Yes I have tried to give everyone a discount. Some items are better than others. I have cut shipping or cut costs anyway I can. We can discount most stuff. I don't cut many deals in the store unless they keep on about it. I reserve all my discounts for Ck5 people. I told my boss I would rather help the people from CK5 and he said it was okay. Now one thing, all items are marked up different. Somethings have little markup and I can do very little. Although we will meet anyones price!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

$34 ea. thats one housing and a bulb. From Hella. I will have to add some shipping depending on were your located. Call me at work if you want to order. I don't work from home /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I did mine on my 89 in 93 when I got it. I have had the hella h4's with 80w low and 100w high. Best single lighting upgrade.

If you did your on your '89, where in the world did you get the kit for the lights, all i have found for the stock replacements are the stock replacements??? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The '93 i can understand as i believe they use the composite setup, but for the horizontal 4 light setup, with those weird shaped bulbs, i have yet to find a kit or even something of better quaity to replace them with.

These lights fit everything on this site including round headlights all the way to 91. Thats everything /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif

OK, let me be alittle more specific, i have done several searches looking for the composite conversion kit for my truck, you say these will fit all years, i have the headlight setup that uses the "H4703/H4701" lights, they are smaller than the normal rectangular style found on most trucks. Just like the headlights in the forum avatar over to the left.
If you know where i can obtain this kit, please,,,,let me know.. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Heres where I got mine for my 89 auto optiks They are way brighter than stock. They were about $100 for all 4 plus the H-7 bulbs. All I did was cut the old plug off and crimp some sealed female spades to the wires. The only problem I've had after 2 years is a little rust in the housing, so maybe a gasket to seal the bulb /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

just curious, do the halogen lights draw more or less juice? or are they just that much more efficient?
