Halfway there....cleaning the shat off the fan now.

Great News guys.........

I just broke the brass fitting off in the block that goes to the oil pressure sender behind the intake.
What the fock is going on.

Well I have the intake off and the bolt out of the head....yay

Now how do I deal with the oil sender fitting?
Easy Out??

I wondered about the angle of the broken bolt being a problem for intake removal.

Might have to pull the head opposite the bolt to slide the intake off???

Once you get to extracting the bolt if the groove for a screwdriver doens't work and the grinding flats doesn't work. You can also try spot welding a nut to the remaining bolt.

i have used an easy out everytime i have seen a broken oil sending unit. works everytime!

Um, less brute force and ignorance?

A guy walks into a bar and says ouch

your wife is yelling at the front door and the dog is barking at the back door... which one do you let in?

the dog atleast he'll stop barking once inside.

Crack another beer and ask her to help push?

Another beer, Aye.

Now back on subject here...
Where do I get the oil pressure sender fitting thingy?
Also where can I buy the hard line from the intake to the brake booster......that broke too.

the port under the trottle body should be 3/8 hardline if my memory is correct so any parts store should have the hard line, then just bent to shape and cut the end off to slip the rubber line onto.

any plumbing or autoparts store should have the 1/8" pipe thread fittings for the sending unit.

Did not think about just getting 3/8 hard line and bending it. Thanks...

But the sender at the rear of the intake is not 1/8 NPT. It is a brass fitting with a 90 deg bend with a big square block at the bend. I have no idea on the TPI of the thread but it was a fine thread.

Really? I thought the threads would be a little more coarse that that.
I am going to look at the broke piece I pulled out again....

How do you get a nun pregnant?

Dress her up like an Altar boy.

:D

Having fun yet Brian?
