Halfway there....cleaning the shat off the fan now.

Well then......I guess it is 1/8 NPT.
Lowes it is then. They should have what I need.

Here is a new question for you.
Whne I got the intake off I looked at the ports on the underside of it. The center port on the drivers side looks like someone filled it with JB weld. I thought it was just crapped up, but after scraping it I found that it is metal.
Should it be like that?

If you're talking about the very center of the intake then that is what is called the exhaust crossover. That is what helps the carb heat up quicker and the choke to work faster. Some people try to block that passage one way or the other but it won't have any ill effects being blocked other than maybe a little longer for the engine to warm up and run good.

Why would only one side be blocked like that?

Is thins more evidence supporting my theory that the PO of this truck is a tard?

It's my bet that it's just carbon. I sometimes have a hard time bead blasting that carbon out of there. It is like concrete.

Scott the intake is cast like that. I would recommend while you have it off to pull the tbi and egr. This will allow you to clean the crap from the ports. Glad to hear you got the broken bolt out.:D

If this is a TBI manifold then yes it is cast that way. I was thinking he had a carbed manifold for some reason.

Sure is a TBI.

I found enough pieces to re-create the oil switch adapter.
And I got a good length of the tranny cooler hard line so I can fix the line to the brake booster.
Also picked up a FelPro intake gasket set.
