"Hardcore" 89 (Black and Blue). IT RUNS, DRIVES, AND STOPS. BUILD ON HOLD

Last few trips I have run 4-5 up front and 3-4 in the rear. They work Awesome! Little rash on the rings, but no real damage and I use my tires to pivot on stuff all the time up here.

Nice, Ive been thinking of getting rid of my h1 beadlocks, and getting some lighter beadlock wheels. These allied beadlocks seem to be priced decent and work really well.

Been awhile since I updated anything here.

Got the XJ steering shaft done.

Been having steering issues so I swapped in a new box to troubleshoot. Discovered I got my second bad box from Autozone

Made a few tie downs for stuff in the back.

Got my winch line on.

New TRE's in the crossover stuff and a new draglink.

New vs Old shafts

New TRE's. Ended up having to get a new draglink because the old one's TREs rusted in and I messed up some threads getting it out. Rather than trying to find somebody with 7/8 RH and LH taps to clean up the threads I just opted to get a new one made at my local shop. Also I had never really noticed before that my old one was a little short and I wasn't getting full turns to the right so I had this one made the right length to run the short ends.

Also got my Christmas present installed :D

Next project will be an Anti-wrap bar for the rear.

I will be using 2" square tube .250 wall with bushings on the axle end and a Ballistic joint on the other.

Finally something good to see.:D Looks great, I really dig the tie-downs. I wish I had thought of that for mine, it's so simple and yet so much cooler than buying some cheap mass produced hook/loop.:wink1:

Man this freaking build is sweet! I wish I had places like that to wheel around here. I am in love with your CC too! That is the truck I want! If I ever get one I think I would like to try a 6bt swap. Keep up the good work.

P.S. Mind if I PM you about my D60 rebuild I am getting ready to do? I think I am going to do the whole thing like you did and you look like you know what you are doing.

Great build MT!

This looks right in line with what I want to do with mine starting next summer... Except I'm expecting the dings and dents from the start, lol. But I will always want an intact full body blazer, no matter how dinged up!

Thanks man! Yeah I was tired of having tie down straps hooked to random things with stuff sliding around back there. I'm in work on a rack system for my ammo cans and trail box with some sort of flip up mount or swing away for my spare as well.

Go ahead and shoot me a PM with any questions on the 60 rebuild.

Yeah I was never worried about dents and dings, but I have taken more damage than I wanted, but up here thats just the nature of the trails.

I have a question about the xj shaft. beside notching the column, What other mods need to be done to the xj shaft to make it work.

That's all I did. Well that and melt out the plastic to get it to collapse so you can install it.

Yup except I didn't even melt the plastic. Mine didn't have the plastic pins just some sort of sleeve. I was able to tap it in with a hammer to the correct length.

All xj shafts are able to be used, or just certain years. if so what years.

Search xj shaft, there is a thread somewhere wiht PAGES AND PAGES of info on this swap. Certain years, but its a broad span of years.

Man, I have not poked my head in here in some time. GREAT progress on your rig. Awesome build for damn sure. I'm sure it's been asked and I'm sure you have it in the plans, but with the hard core wheelin you have gotten into, WHEN are you getting a cage in that thing to protect yourself and passengers? Incredable job on the build. Makes me want to get going even harder on mine big time.

Looking good as usual.

I was looking through some old posts, those are 33's on the crew cab?

How wide? Look wider than 33/12.50's to me......but want to know actual size.
