"Hardcore" 89 (Black and Blue). IT RUNS, DRIVES, AND STOPS. BUILD ON HOLD

Looks like it's ready to enter a show-n-shine at the car show. Won't the tuner crowd be jealous.

How did you route the lines from the ram up to the box? Was 48" about right?

Yeah 48" is about perfect. You can see how both lines come off the ram there. The one for the forward cap just goes under the crossmember above the leaf spring under the frame to the box.

The line for the top cap I just routed with the other line and it just runs up inside the frame to the box.

The lines are kinda rigid so once ya get them in place and zip tied together they dont move much. Neither of mine touch the frame anywhere. The draglink may rub one so I'm gonna pick up some kind of spring and attach it to the forward crossmemer maybe to keep them pulled away from the draglink.

Let me know if you need pics :waytogo:

I ran my cooler just like yours for the last 3 years and didn't have any problems. But according to PSC you shouldn't mount it that way and it makes since to me when you read this. When putting on my full hydro this winter I will be doing per their instructions. Not trying to say anything is wrong, it all looks good to me, just throwing some info out there I found.

Cool thanks for the link. Yeah I was sorta out of ideas for other places to mount it vertically. Its well below the reservoir and the system bled real good, but always good know a little more :waytogo:

Steering worked awesome. I didnt notice the speed as an issue at all until we got up to the gravel pit at lunch time and it is a little slow trying to steer into a skid while spinning some doughnuts. Used it on the rocks, and was able to turn the tires lock to lock with no effort, and going 35-40 on the main roads with 10" deep potholes I was able to just hold the steering wheel with 2 fingers. No bump steer no feedback. :waytogo::waytogo::waytogo:

My half door got into a little scuffle with a tree root. The root looks way worse though

I've got a pretty good idea of how I'm gonna do it, but pics of how you ran the hoses to the steering box would be great.

I decided to get all narrow with mine when it stopped getting dented and it just started to tear the metal:D

Looks like you will be there in no time at all.

I just read all 54 pages! I am impressed.
From the time I saw you make a sick bumper out an old frame,to the most resent scuffle with the tree stump I was enthralled.
Now, I want to see you build the cage.
-Great work- *SUBSCRIBED*

Love the wheeling pics (and the K5)
You haven't been wheeling seriously if there's not some degree of sheetmetal carnage :thumb:

Thanks for the compliments guys, and yeah the body is going fast, but I have another set of doors I have plans for and Fred then I must be wheeling seriously!
