"Hardcore" 89 (Black and Blue). IT RUNS, DRIVES, AND STOPS. BUILD ON HOLD

Another thing I would like to see would be a thread with pics of cages that have actually been through a rollover so I could see what kind of triangulation, bracing, etc. is the most effective. That would be the ultimate test to me.

Do we have to say it again?

- No you didn't because...

...it didn't happen unless you post pics!

:sign6:

Nothing is welded yet. Just got the tubes cut.

Little League season is here and both my boys play so evenings are busy. Just ate dinner and now Im just being lazy on the couch watching my new Rockrods DVD! :woot:

Finally got a chance to get back out in the garage to work on this thing. Got a new drill too for my notcher. Gears finally gave out in my old one :dunno: The difference is unreal. Probably takes 1/3 the time to cut a notch with the new drill. Anyway on to the pics. Still gotta notch the 2 piece portion of the X and notch the rear down bars then finish welding. These multi point node notches are quite time comsuming!

Should I add a vertical tube at the bottom of my X?

Got a bunch of work done on the cage today! Everything is pretty much fully welded minus the rear bars are just tacked. Have to get the last two pieces notched and the floor plates drilled. Coming together nicely 8-)

its a good thing your body panels are protecting that nice shiny cage:D

looks good man:waytogo:
no sh1t
that's just what I was thinking
might be time to send those panels on their way, take them out back, one shot, and they'll be with ol' yeller in a field of corn :doah:

I dont know what you guys are talking about.. whats wrong with the body panels?

What do you guys know. This could be the start of the latest trend on the show truck circuit. Notice how all the young girls are wearing jeans that look like a dog with battery acid for saliva has been chewing them all up instead of nice, neat looking pants. This wrinkled fender look could be the next big thing. You'll see.

You need to put your matching sticker back on this side for some protection. :eek1: It looks like it worked real well on the passenger side. What are they made of?

:haha::haha: Yeah you know Im not sure why the paint is so much worse on my driver side. I think it must have been parked so that side got more sun when I was stationed in CA. It used to have a sticker too, but it came off with the paint while I was washing it with my garden hose

Thanks for all the compliments! :waytogo:

You washed it? :haha: :haha:

Looks good Brian, the cage part I mean. The truck looks like Stevie Wonder wheeled it with Helen Keller spotting...:flipoff7:
