I was on Offroad.com in the Chevy section & found an article on Revolvers for Blazers. They were the bomb a few ago. People were saying it was one of the best upgrades someone could do for more flex on a leaf sprung vehicle. I have never tried them so it could've just been alot of hype.:eek1: I am always looking for more flex. Anyway just want to know if anyone has tried them on a Blazer or any other vehicle. Heres an article for installing them on a samarai: http://www.rockcrawler.com/techreports/revolvers_samurai/page3.htm

Don't daily drive them , and don't jump it with them . For strictly slow speed crawling only , and use limiting straps .

At least you've got a good attitude:D. Just Kidding. It sounds like you guys have hashed this one out before. I did a search & found your not supposed to tow with them which would put them out for me. Gotta be able tow a fairly light weight trailer and wouldn't want to swap them out just for wheeling.:DAny suggestions for better articulation?

They don't make mine anymore .... YET . I would do ORD if I had to buy one now , I have wheeled with them personally , and can honestly say they are one of the last good remaining family run businesses around

It sounds like shackle reversal is the way to go in back. How about up front? I know the sway bar diconnect will help & I've seen a few guys gettin alot of flex on 52's. I have a 4" lift. Block in the rear (the flip would probably replace the block) & 4" up front. What do ya think?

Proven combination.

Maybe some of ORD's front shackles?

4 icnh front is fine , and the norm . If you want more tire , cut the fenders . Swaybar discos are fine until you go crossover steering , then you need to ditch those to make the steering fit .

Sometimes simple is real good to start with . I still have just 4 inch kit springs with ORD shackles , and a flip out back . Its all about the seat time , make your mods and learn to wheel at your own pace . Important thing is to simply enjoy it :thumb:

That setup is better and safer than using revolvers. I asked about revolvers a while back and decided to go 52"/56" with ORD shackle flips. Best thing I ever done with my rig for the money and the flex I needed.:D

You would be fine with some 4" tuff country ez ride springs in the front. For a shackle flip I have ORD's. There's nothing wrong with it though i like the diy4x one better. And dont bother with the swaybar disco's I had them and drove the truck around with it disconnected and it rode fine, so i took the discos off and sold them to someone else. take off the swaybar for good ;)

Im thinking I'll take of my sway bar as a start. Im on a budget & thats free-99. Someone was selling 52's for like $50, another cheap upgrade. I think that requires new hangers so that may need to wait till I figure that out. You guys are great thanks for all the info.

If you go with 52's you will need to swap to crossover steering.
