has anyone went to a dragstrip with their rig?

I went to run the K5 when I had the 6-71 blower on it,,,they wouldn't let me run without a scatter shield on the trans ( blown vehicles are required to run a trans blanket )and because the crank shaft was more than 40 inches off of the road surface..( too much lift )

i will this coming summer... there's a really cool cruise night they have at the local drags... my brother raced his truck last year, and we're going to race each other this year...

i bet my truck isn't as fast as my Chevelle, though...

my 85 chevy in my sig. went to the track with the previouse owner. he said he put regular size tires on it and it did low 14's.
