Hedman Elite Header Review

How did that work out? Wouldn't it cause the clutch to bind?
no binding at all.just bent it enough torward the frame to clear the header.just measured it and heated it with torch and bent it to the amount needed with a vice and a vice grip. it works good.as far as gaskets go.i used the double sided mr gasket ones up on the head and also collector.the ones that came with it blew out within the first month.

Just for clerification, could someone fill in the blank like so,

SBC w/ auto: (part number)
SBC w/ stick: (part number)
BBC w/ auto: (part number)
BBC w/ stick: (part number)

I for one am not clear on which ones fit best for which application.

How about an 1987 gmc 3/4 ton tbi 350, converted to standard using mechanical clutch linkage, with a 208 transfer case.

Looks like I might get these Heddman (69830) to replace my Hooker super comp heddders. They will be cheaper then having Jet Hot try to recoat the Hookers. Also like the fact that these don't hang down past the frame as much.

There are lots of parts on the Summit site that have those images. Lots of headers are covered. Just pull up any header and see if it has one.

So which part number fits an 1987 halfton 350 tbi, converted to standard with a mechanical clutch linkage. The o2 bung is no problem. Also want the ball and socket ends. Numbers for coated and non coated would be great

Just did a make/model search on Summit Racing and came up with:

HED-69090 (painted)

HED-69890 (coated)

If you read through this thread, it's discussed that these headers may also work for '82 -'91, even though they only list up to 1981:

HED-69230 (painted)

HED-69830 (coated)

All four sets of these headers have 360 views. ;)

Anyone using the Hedman 69230 or 69830 headers with angle-plug heads? I'm thinking about a swap and am looking for real-world confirmation that the headers will fit with the angle-plug setup.

I would recommend that you call Hedman and ask them if they will work with whichever angle plug heads you have. FWIW i'm running AFR angle plug heads but i'm running the Flowtech shortie headers and those work well together.

I called them earlier and they couldn't say for sure. They said they could probably be modified to fit but weren't 100% sure.

I did a (CK5) forum search for these headers and posted anywhere it looked like a bunch of guys were talking about Hedman headers. Hopefully my "carpet bomb" approach will find someone who knows. :D

Yeah, i seen you make a post asking about it and also another reply you made in another post. MOST headers will work with straight or angled plug heads, like i said "MOST".
